I love Fromsoft games but I’ve been on Xbox since the 360, never played Bloodborne or Demons Souls. I’d be totally happy with a Bloodborne clone.

Not the most popular game when it released, but the Tomorrow Children relaunches in a few days. On its first launch, the servers shut after a year. 5 years later they got the IP back from Sony and are rereleasing www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1WCCkauZQUI enjoyed my time with it, they're dropping all the free to play crap now and charging a fixed fee. Bunch of other gameplay improvements too, so I'm looking forward to it.

Just noticed Phantasy Online 2 is finally available on PlayStation in the west, in case anyone interested lacks an Xbox or a decent PC. That includes the New Genesis sequel? Spin off? Reimagining? Whatever it is.

Steelrising, a Soulsbourne, is available now. On steam and gog at least. Some people are complaining about performance, but I haven't watched any reviews yet.
It's by Spiders who made Greedfall, Technomancer and so on.

Series X footage I saw looked smooth. Reviews just say it's a bit dull.

Bit pricey for what it is imo. I'm interested but not enough to pay what they're asking.

Will try to look at some reviews later.
From what I've heard of Thymesia it turned out to be good, but also surprisingly short. I think somebody did mention that s/he was playing it, but I haven't seen anything since.
Edit:
- So far nothing about performance issues.
- Good combat with an interesting variety of weapons - Balance issues - Relatively easy (for a Soulsbourne) - Assist mode that lets you adjust difficulty
- Story and characters mediocre - Environments and exploration mediocre - Combat animations a bit eh... notchy/sudden - but apparently well telegraphed

Anybody jumped into Gloomwood? The description says it is "inspired by the immersive sims and survival horror greats of the late 90s and early 2000s". It certainly looks as though its running on the Unreal engine.

I am interested in this as it sounds and looks like it could be fun, but it's a hefty price tag for a AA game (£50 on PSN). Might wait for the inevitable sale.

Looks like Scorn is reviewing poorly across the board which is a shame given how nice its visual design is

The new Ghostbusters game looks pretty fun, if you enjoy those Dead By Daylight styled asymmetric multiplayer games.

New Parasite Eve?
Loved the original, never played any of the others but think a horror action RPG could work in today's market.

I'm possibly the only person here who still plays it, but World of Warcraft has the pre-expansion patch up now, new customisable UI and totally revamped talent trees.
Some people like the new talent trees, but I'm really not convinced. They're overly complex and are fiddly to use, and the complexity diminishes as so many things are basically baseline. I think it's my least favourite talent system yet.

I was recently able to recover my OG character - after selling the account about 15 years ago - and spent a little time trying to get my bearings in the Battle for Azeroth island. Perhaps it was because I was on the prior expansion but it felt very, very quiet, despite the server having a high population.

Fucking hell, that's Atomic Heart now added to the crazy crowded start of next year. February.
Too many awesome looking games out in the next few months. Going to have to take to the streets and sell my sweet ass again to afford all the fucking things.

For those of you who've played No Man's Sky recently, am I right in thinking the one thing Hello Games *haven't* added is a campaign of some kind?
I mean, they've obviously added a ton of stuff to the game since it originally came out, and kudos to them for that; however, I don't think I've ever seen reference to a narrative element having been added alongside the other new content.
