Fwiw, I don't particularly dislike any of those bands, just there's only so much time for music and I focus on the stuff that I love, you know. I don't know PUP beyond the name, tbh. They're a fairly modern band, I think? Yeah - I only got into them this year when I heard their (4th?) album and thought it was pretty great. Slowly going through their back catalogue now which is a lot faster/shorter/younger - seems like I've discovered them just as they're starting to mellow! One of their better songs below - extra points as it uses a load of old retro games for the lyrics. |

I really hate Muse, the lead singer's voice is like nails on a chalkboard. Their fans always seem to be fanatical about them as well. Also, Yes!
Cannot fucking stand Muse. Bellamy's voice makes me want to shit myself.

That's not true. Genesis aren't shit. (Except Illegal Alien, that song really is shit) See, I always thought that was either The Police or Sting. You’ve given me a right wobble there. Plus, I really like Maiden, specifically up to Seventh Son, with odd bits from Fear of the Dark, but not really anything after! |

It sounds more like a police or sting song to be fair, up until Phil chimes in with his racist as fuck accent, lyrical content and music video.
Home By The Sea / Home By The Sea 2 remains my fave Genesis track(s) though. Only because when I first heard it when I was little I loved that it was a ghost story.

Yeah, Home By The Sea is great.
I genuinely think No Son Of Mine, Mama, Jesus He Knows Me are all amazing songs.
Basically the Genesis and We Can't Dance albums are, as the kids might say, totally dope. Invisible Touch is pretty solid too.
(Again, massive exception of Illegal Alien on Genesis)

I liked their first three albums. A Rush of Blood to the Head and X&Y especially. Didn't really listen beyond that so I can't speak on their more recent work. They were great live too.
I won't address the Radiohead blasphemy in this thread though.
