I will gladly be Team Tomato in this Unpopular Thread. although it's really a fruit Same, I love tomatoes in all their forms, bar the tasteless salad toms that have never seen the sun Keeping them out of the fridge makes a big difference to the taste, at least if they're decent to start with.

Weirdly I like noodles, in stir fry or ramen or whatever, but think spaghetti is my least enjoyable pasta, it's just a bit fiddly and inevitably end up flicking sauce around.

Pasta being minging is a clear winner of worst culinary take on the internet, I'm still in shock, came over all a flutter. Anybody who doesn't like noodles, be they European or Asian, is not to be trusted. Yep, definitely for the watching.

I really like tagliatelle and the other ribbon pastas though. I guess being flat helps stop them flailing about like a caffienated Fraggle

Wonder what my favourite pasta is, so many awesome shapes. Big soft spot for rigatoni, casareccia and trofie. Need to make some trofie with pesto and potatoes soon.
Double carbs ftw

This thought randomly occurred earlier, and I figured it'd probably fit in here:
Timothy Dalton was the best* James Bond.
* Caveat: I haven't seen any of the Daniel Craig films.

I think the fact you somehow haven't seen any of the Craig ones is more contentious tbh.

I think I'd lost interest in the franchise by the end of Brosnan's stint, to be honest; however, I stand by my assertion that Dalton was better than Connery, Moore, Lazenby, and Brosnan.

MolarAm🔵I agonised over his inclusion - didn't want to fall victim to hyperbole, y'know? - but I eventually resolved to have the courage of my convictions.

I'm fucking pissed at the "eggplant" thing.
And yeah, spaghetti is rubbish. All other long pasta shames it
And Bond movies are dull.
Be my friend?

This whole argument played our in the Rate the Last Film thread recently, but it wouldn't be us if we didn't endlessly rehash the same debates.
Thing is for me is there are a lot of Bond films I haven't seen for 20+ years at least. I'm judging my opinion on some of them on the basis of what I though of them watching them as a teenager on ITV with fuck all else to do.
Teenage me loved Highlander. I watched that the other day and it was *shit*. I don't know what I believe any more.

I had that experience with the first Matrix last year (?). I wanted to watch all 3 before Resurrections and kind of hated the first one so never made it to the rest.
And then.. really didn't care for 4 so I guess I'm not a Matrix fan anymore.

My apologies, forum user Chopsen - I don't tend to read the Rate the Last Film... thread.
I'll be your friend, forum user Danno! I have no strong thoughts on eggplant, one way or the other; I don't mind spaghetti, but would always take pappardelle and tagliatelle if given a choice; and I haven't watched a Bond film in forever, although my decades-old recollection is that I liked Dalton best.
Oh, and I've never watched Highlander. (Maybe that's controversial in and of itself, I dunno.)

Oooh yeah. I've not actually watched it very recently, but whenever is see clips or memes the original Matrix these days I can totally see see how cheesy all that leather trenchcoats and wire fu probably is.
At the time, I though I'd witnessed the reinvention of sci-fi cinema.

All good, fellow forumite - my tongue was firmly entrenched in my cheek at the time of writing that post.
My Alien film of preference is the first one, as I liked the claustrophobic slow-burn approach more than the action-heavy sequel.
