Another secret point for making sauces is to use the whole plum tomatoes tins instead of chopped tomatoes, and then simply crushing with your hand. They taste way better. Something about reducing the time between the cutting and using them. Also a lower water ratio with plums Vs chopped IIRC. I just use a potato masher with mine (very carefully I might add!)

I honestly wish I liked more veg but it just doesn't work for me at all.
Tomatoes, beetroot, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumber, broccoli, pumpkin, celery, sweetcorn and asparagus - can't stand any of them (except tomatoes when cooked with other food). Tried them cooked/prepared various ways but no joy.
Potatoes, peas, carrots, onions, garlic, spinach, peppers and beans are pretty much my limit.

Mushrooms beat all vegetables due to versatility and variety.
Plus there's magic ones.

Best to avoid the deadly ones though.

Mushrooms in a greasy spoon breakfast are always the worst bit (well, apart from fried slice). I'd rather have tinned tomatoes in their place that's how much I dislike them.
I love mushrooms normally, especially cooked with butter and a bit of garlic.

dogbot, drhickman1983, Ulythium guys, don't encourage JuniorFE please! Do you know how embarrassing it is having to order the same two dishes, one with and one without tomatoes, just because he is not fond of them? Or resorting to having your dish without tomatoes, just so they don't fuck up his order? Geez, it's just tomatoes ffs!!! No to mention that he was eating them when he was younger!!!

Imagine thinking young kids have good taste... Have you seen some of the swill they market as "baby food" the last few years?

I would hope you were beyond eating that by now though. Maybe not with your sacrilegious dislike of tomatoes...

Well, duh, although I'd rather eat (some varieties of) baby food than raw mushy tomatoes, tbh Most of them still suck though, I only vaguely remember fruit creams and the like being decent. And even then it's been actual decades since then so who knows what they're like now...

Danno Actually, reading it back it's not nice. I've deleted the post, would you mind deleting the quoting post? If it’s the post I think it was I gave a like to it and am now worried about my moral compass.

I can't stand the innards of tomatoes. It's the same consistency as the mucus I hawk up when I'm full of a cold.
My personal unpopular opinion is that the action and technology/special effects are the only good bits in Star Wars. The stories suck tomato phlem.
