Whenever I hear anything by PJ Harvey I think "hey this is really good" and totally appreciate the stuff she does. But that never seems to translate in to buying or even actively deciding to listen to her stuff for some reason.

Love PJ Harvey. Remember when she won the Mercury (I think) the tabloids had no idea who she was. Pretty sure she'd released loads of albums before that with some great singles. I don't like everything she's done but some stuff is very good indeed.

I think I’ve only got a couple of albums which are primarily female singers, Brody Dalle being one and Raveonettes being the other.
I’m struggling to like any new music by anyone under 30. It feels like listening to children talking about their feelings.

I used to watch B&B and The Word on Friday and march into town on Saturday to pick up whoever had been on. |

She’s a busy woman. Live that several times she’s learned a new instrument then used it in her next album. A fantastic live performer with amazing stage presence , hope to god I get to see her again. |
