Orders of Magnitude would be a great name for a band. Hors d'oeuvres of Magnitude for a bit of French pretentiousness.

People who type "Chef's kiss" to express appreciation don't deserve access to the internet.

You want a fight or what. That's the best poll I've ever made. It's the only poll I've ever made mind you.

Just to pick an already healed scab in this thread, the reason why I prefer Muse to Radiohead is because Muse just lean into ridiculous metal riffs in a way that Radiohead, even in their OK Computer phase never did. Muse's new song has a pretty legit metal breakdown section.
(and now I hate myself for using the terms "lean into" and "pretty legit" so I think I'm turning into some middle-management-slash-Joe-Rogan twat. And I even typed "slash". Kill me plz.)
(I also realise that syncopated, dropped tuning riffs of metal isn't a good thing for some people. If they're a bit delicate.)
((I'm very fragile))

I really, really hate Muse. It's the lead singers voice.
I have Deja Vu from typing this out so many times.

(Thom Yorke is still a worse, whinier vocalist. Gotta keep that unpopular ember burning.)
Honestly though, I was watching a live recording of an Atoms for Peace video and I had to check it wasn't a "shred", Thom's vocals being so whack. As the cool kids say.

the reason why I prefer Muse to Radiohead is because Muse just lean into ridiculous metal riffs in a way that Radiohead Muse is better because they have a touchpad on their guitar. That is more awesome than anything Radiohead have.

Muse were at their best when they were trying to be Radiohead (mainly their first two albums). I loved Origin of Symmetry at the time, but now it makes me cringe. I remember reading a quote about Matt Bellamy's guitar wankery, something along the lines of "when he wanks, he doesn't just wank, he disconnects the phone, lights candles and puts down plastic sheeting". They do put on a great live show, to be fair. And yes Thom Yorke's live singing is really inconsistent but Radiohead are S tier where Muse are more like B or C.

I only really like the Muse songs I heard completely cold when they closed out the second stage at T in the Park 2004.
Plug in Baby with the entire crowd going mental, fireworks going off in the back and the last pull of the weekend doing its thing
It was so damn good I still remember it clearly. The only thing I render clearly from that weekend.

Muse live are pretty amazing. To be fair, Radiohead live was much much better than I was expecting. I love both.
I used to get miffed when Muse went too Prog Rock or Pop, but these days I don't care. Same for when Radiohead went too weird and wanky.
Muse used to regularly play in our local before they got famous, and yet I somehow managed to miss them every time, which I still haven't forgiven myself them for!

I prefer Muse when they aren't similar to Radiohead. Don't hear Greenwood doing riffs like Stockholm Syndrome or Psycho often. and hey, I like Greenwood, he's done some good scores and stuff. Frankly I've been waiting for Muse to give into the inner djent for a while.

Decks as unpopular as ever
You can't front on Prince, Michael, Janet, The Time, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Siouxsie and the Banshsees, Rick James, Duran Duran, etc
