I remember we had a thread on the old place about cheese. Some great suggestions for tasty cheddars that I've forgotten about that I really wanted to try!
Black Bomb? Or something. Please help me cheesey gourmands!

That's not what you've asked for, but it's what I've given you. Red Leicester. Is it cheddar though? No. It's Red Leicester. It's like the thinking man's cheddar.

(I actually just made that up but hopefully it will catch on) There's a chap on Youtube that does cheesemaking and he opens each vid with "G'day curd nerds!" He did parmesan or something one time and his comments were full of furious Italians

Unsurprisingly most of the cheese I eat is Swiss but earlier this year we tried some posh aged Gouda, was hard and with intense flavour, very nice and totally different from 'normal' gouda...

Red Leicester in a toasty is far superior to cheddar. Love the stretchy-stringiness.

I'm going through a Boursin phase at the minute, it makes pretty much any cracker amazing.

I’m a fan of Wensleydale and Lancashire although I almost never get to eat them. It’s all generic cheddar in our house

Not how-dah?
I don't have any recommendations, but Red Leicester is ace. Double Gloucester, too.

Seriously everybody Stinking Bishop is the greatest cheese of them all. Served at room temp. you will never experience a nicer cheese (it does stink though)

My wife recently bought a Dutch cheese cake Prima Donna, and it was fantastic.
