I thought Bottoms was a bit shit. Watched it because of all the praise on here and Mrs Hermit says she's never trusting your reviews again. Well this is the thread for terrible opinions, and this time it's yours edit - I love the way that clicking on the thread takes you to the point where you last looked at it, not where it is now, and so you react to something that someone said a week ago and now you look like an off-topic dickhead

It was only 4 days ago, so I think you're still within the window. It doesn't make you any less wrong though.

The Holdovers.
Well worth the rental price, certainly better than any thing I've watched in the past 12 - 18 months. The grainy style along with the score and soundtrack create a genuine 1970s "feel" along with some sublime performances.
Hopefully this scoops a tonne of awards. I love Giammati but this is his best work IMO.

Very much looking forward to seeing that.
Can't remember if I mentioned it but in true Dull Men's Club style, I created a spreadsheet of all the digital films I have bought across the 3 platforms. In the process I have discovered Amazon have removed rights to about 7 or 8 films I have bought. Motherfuckers.

Amazon got so much money from me during lockdown, I was buying all sorts of crap. Got to know the delivery man pretty well he was delivering that much to us.

You should email them about it and ask for a refund/credit

Seemed to be random, and all disappeared from my library. Only noticed whilst looking in my emails for something else. All available still on Prime (aside from the recording of Fleabag Live, which now appears to be geolocked). It's odd as I noticed this had started to happen as Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was in my library but not available. They refunded me and it's now also back available! When I get 5 minutes I will harangue them.

Make sure you make a spreadsheet to track the haranguing.

Maybe we need a spreadsheet to keep track of all the forumites who keep spreadsheets?

The Gangster the Cop and the Devil 6/10 Korean drama co-starring meat slab Ma Dong-Sook, who is usually is good value. This was ok ish, a Cop and Korean syndicate boss kind of team up to catch a serial killer.
But it veers into the overdramatic too often as some Korean films do, with familiar tropes, the cop is a young insubordinate type, the Chief under the thumb of syndicate, its very stabby, yada yada yada.
Bodies Bodies Bodies 3/10 from the amount I could put up with it. The whole group were entirely hateful, murder them all, I don't care.

No I do the same. I turned off Ambulance after 5 minutes because I can’t stand Michael Bay’s quick cuts. But that means I have no idea if it’s a good film or not.

This thread is living proof that a film is only as good as that particular person thinks. Except for RRR, you are just plain wrong if you think its rubbish

Sure it does. You didn't last 5 minutes. For you, it's absolutely shite. I probably wouldn't last 5 minutes watching Elf in July, but in December it is one of my favourite ever films. Sometimes you just need to be in the right mood to appreciate something.

I work with a load of Indian developers, and I don't know whether to mention it or not.
