Fair enough I had forgotten who wrote and produced it.

Chris Columbus is currently laying traps in richardiox's house for attributing his film to John Hughes. John Hughes written and produced.

By the way I’ve decided First Blood is a Christmas film and is acceptable to include in the festive watching from now on.

The little town is covered in Christmas decorations.
Also the classic line “you drew first blood…that wasn’t very Christmassy was it”.

I’ve come round to The Long Kiss Goodnight being a Christmas film. If it’s set in December, it counts.

Look Away 7/10 - Fairly decent horror. A girl who is shy and gets bullied trades places with her mirror alter ego to gain revenge on the people who wronged her, except the alter ego takes it too far. The lead is very good portraying vulnerability and menace in equal measure. Some of the supporting cast aren't great though. Yeah, watched that last year I think and it was ok. Nothing amazing, but ok. THe lead girl was good, and doesn't Jason Isaacs show up? Yeah, he's the dad.

The Long Kiss Goodnight is one of those films I'll always watch if it's on. I love it.
Peak Samuel L. too.

Where do we stand on Chris Columbus’s culpability for Harry Potter?

I've come to the conclusion that Die Hard isn't a Christmas film, and it's just something that neckbeards decided at the start of the 00s they would trot out as an aksherley over their latest disgusting micro brewery recommendation.

Again, it’s in the dialogue - “I don’t care that it’s Christmas Hans, time to die hard”.

‘Is Die Hard a Christmas film?’ is part of the same conversation as ‘I hate the word moist’ and beans not touching your fry up in terms of things no one had an opinion about until it became a meme a few years ago and everyone pretended they’d thought it forever.
Disney+ does included Die Hard 1 and 2 in its Christmas library so I guess that settles it since its their IP now

Never heard of the beans on a fry up before. But it is something I subscribe to. I am particular on that one. Sausage, bacon and eggs need to be on the plate. Mushrooms and Tomatoes as the sides. Black Pudding, fried slice/potatoes and toast are optional. But I wouldn’t have beans on the plate. They just don’t go with the ensemble, and it is another dish to prepare and warm up. There is enough on the plate without beans.

A full English without baked beans isn't a full English.
And Alan Partridge can get fucked about break waters.

I've come to the conclusion that Die Hard isn't a Christmas film, and it's just something that neckbeards decided at the start of the 00s they would trot out as an aksherley over their latest disgusting micro brewery recommendation. Reasons why Die Hard isn't a Christmas film: 1.) It isn't remotely Christmassy 2.) It being set during Christmas is incidental and purely for the sake of having people stay after work in their office 3.) No Christmas movie staples occur - no one learns anything, no magic happens, peace on earth is NOT a theme. McClain kills a lot of people and says Fuck about 60 times. His wife still thinks he's a cunt a few days later 4.) It was released in July in the UK and February in the US. No genuine Christmas movie would come out at any time other than Christmas 5.) You can watch it all year round and it won't feel weird, because it's not a fucking Christmas movie. If Muppets Christmas Carol came on telly in July you'd question what the fuck were they thinking 6.) None of the sequels are set at Christmas, except the second one, but no one remembers that 7.) Only people with nothing better to say pretend it's a Christmas movie. It's like talking about the weather because you're out of conversation 8.) Pre-dementia Bruce Willis has stated it's not a Christmas movie 9.) Making it a tradition to watch at Christmas doesn't negate all of the above 10.) Yippy Kai not a motherfucking Christmas movie motherfuckers

If Stop the Cavalry is a Christmas song then Die Hard is a Christmas film.
Also, beans essential on a fry-up.

Not a fan of baked beans (kidney beans in chilli are fine)
Big fan of Die Hard and other Christmas films, such as Batman Returns and First Blood.
