Thought this deserved it's own thread, even though there's lots of overlap with the politics and coronavirus threads.
Latest from the QAnon loons:

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the people who come up with these theories are either bored creative writing students, people conducting a mass psychological experiment or state actors from the usual countries just keeping the crazy fire going. Or maybe it's a combination of all three. Still gotta love that crazy brand of Christianity that portrays Trump, a greedy, lustful, vindictive, prideful, selfish, avaricious cunt of man as someone who God who would go "yep, that's the guy".

The one thing we can all agree on though is that birds aren't real.

Is the quality of QANON conspiracy stuff that poor usually? There's absolutely no through logic on any of that. It's just a jumble of random sequences with no connection to one another. Why is time going back to the 20th October so we get 2 halloweens? Why does that mean the Kennedys are suddenly back? Why does JFK then want Trump back as President?? JFK is a democrat!!

They believe that Biden is actually Trump in a Biden mask and he's he still in control. So thats a big yes on the quality question.

Mass psychological experiment is an interesting and plausible idea. Controlling people's perception using the information they consume. It's what Cambridge Analytica was doing basically. Politics could become an arms race in ways to manipulate, and now we live in a world where any cunt and his mother can get a platform for nothing. It's a worry to be honest.

The Trump worship by the evangelical right I really don't get, as you say they've chosen the most ungodly man possible. A serial adulterer and accused rapist with a documented history of dodgy business dealings and fraud. I am particularly fond of the quasi-religious paintings that occasionally appear on Twitter where they make him look all heroic though

Cultists gonna cult.

Actually, the more I look at that picture, the more I think the circling alligators (/crocodiles?) are just moments away from capsizing the boat which the camo-clad folks seem to be rowing in seven different directions and tipping thin-Trump and all his big, tough, swamp-draining mates into the drink and then, their jaws.
Which would be a shame.

It's mental how many people buy into this shit.
I used to have a friend who believed quite a bit of it. I've tried to argue against it in the past, but when I point out the ludicrous aspects of it he'd shrug it off, and say something to the lines of "well of course it's not all leak literal but there's some truth in there".
To his credit he hadn't gone full Freeman of the land (at least whilst I still kept in touch), but he did believe that pizzagate was real, and he also bought into the role wayfarer nonsense, and that Ellen was a pedo child trafficker.
He was at one point a good friend, but he'd always been a bit of a conspiracy nut (Mercury in vaccines!!) but it seemed harmless enough. Even if he did simp for Assad on a regular basis.
Over the last few years though he became fairly pro Trump and believed the daft fraudulent vote stuff. I tried to call him out on this bar conspiracy stuff but he just patronisingly replied something along the lines of "I just see things most people don't"
When he went full anti-vaxx I gave up.

The irony is, he would throw that cast of Duck Dynasty to the gators before he shared even an inch of the boat with them.

To be honest, if JFK Jr. does an Altered Beast and rises from his grave, and then declares Trump the true American Jesus or whatever, I might take that as evidence that Qanon was right.
I mean, it won't fucking happen, but would be hard to argue with that.

It really is a religion at this point. Despite all their previous predictions failing, they just double down like any good cult.
