Yeah, I've just posted in the other thread but we've changed the time of our drive to Swansea (from South Yorkshire) to Saturday morning instead of tomorrow afternoon/night. And (hopefully) avoided an argument in the process, turned out well

Yesterday was pretty bad here (Cheshire). Today, “nothing heard at this end”, as we say in amateur radio. A little breezy, perhaps, but that’s it. Wind, rain and hail now.

We've got 60mph gusts forecast tomorrow and are only on a yellow warning. Actually glad that we had the storm a few weeks ago now, it left the fence on a 30 degree angle so we got new concreted posts put in and it's coping ok with the 45mph winds we have today. I suspect had we not had that one and therefore had it fixed the fence would be smashing through the window tomorrow.

Amber and red warnings for me tomorrow, yellow warning for Saturday. I somehow don't think I'm going to make it to football on Saturday.

Well, my work has closed their office in Bristol (and others like Newport) because of the storm tomorrow, so I guess that makes my decision on whether or not I should go into the office easier. (Was wavering towards not anyway).

OR
Maybe the storm is all just a lie by big weather to control us. I mean, has anyone even seen the wind?
Thought not, sheeple.

I work in a school in Herefordshire we are now shut tomorrow, with staff and children working from home. First time we've had something like this in 20 years.

According to the weather forecast we've got some light rain showers tomorrow and that's about it.

Really not looking forward to driving a panel van in 60-70 mph winds tomorrow. My largest collection are staying closed so it will be empty on the way back as well which should be a laugh on the motorway.

All schools in Pompey shut tomorrow. Wasn’t expecting it to be that bad here. The wife (a teacher) is delighted, naturally.

Dorset schools are all shut too. We're only in the amber zone but apparently there's potential for dangerous gusts. We've already had bits of the school fly off in lesser winds so it's probably a good thing.

Idiots at the end of the road have an insurance problem; they used those metal fences stuck into big rubber boots that you see around construction sites. Then they covered it all in a tarpaulin. About an hour ago it behaved liked the kite that it is and 2 cars got wrecked These cunts have retrieved and rebuilt the deathsail, mangled as it is, and retained the tarp. Just incredible

Definitely need to close primary schools. Too much danger of the little ones getting swept up and causing property damage or hitting people

That place should be activating the photon shield Trying to convince a friend in Somerset that she should work from home tomorrow, at least in the morning, since her commute is a lovely wander around the seafront, but she's having none of it

The learning never stops here cubby, they won't all survive the process but the ones that do will make the smartest shop workers the world has seen.
