It was 21 degrees and sunny here yesterday. More than a bit unusual for October.
I'd usually be wearing a winter coat by now whenever I go outside, not a t-shirt.

A new challenger enters
Sleet has appeared on the long range forecast for next week. In the interim, 7 days with no rain. May get my final final lawn mow in. Will be my third one, but the grass keeps growing, I assume due to the comparatively warm weather.

Our first bit of snow in Manchester but as it rained earlier this evening it'll be a dusting at best.
Edit: oh maybe not.

It's fucking freezing up here in the godless wildling lands north of the wall.
Boiler radiator temps just got their ass temps cranked. Fuel saving be damned for this week.

couple hundred miles south and local (gloucestershire) news proclaims 700 MILE WALL OF SNOW
snow has already fallen in aberdeenshire!! (which is sorta gloucestershire if you really squint)
come on, there has to be some perks to owning a landy with a working hand brake (and not much else). I CHALLENGE YOU ALL TO A SNOWBALL FIGHT

It’s currently lobbing it down with snow here in the Midlands, about 70 miles further south than where the weather warning said it would fall.

Nottingham was where the edge of it was supposed to be. I’m 70 miles away from it, level with Birmingham

I was absolutely convinced it wouldn’t settle. Now I’m deciding whether to face a packed tram to work or risk cycling on my crappy hybrid tyres.

We have the perfect situation of it piling up on all the trees and grass but the roads and pavements being completely clear. Up with this sort of thing.

Just rain in Bristol. I'd prefer snow to this miserable rain, especially as I'm WFH for a few days.

The 2mm tread on my front tyres (can’t change until less than 1.8mm) will be fun if we ever get actual ice. Luckily I’ve only got this car for another couple of weeks.
