Extended family left today. Have spent all day putting the house back together and tomorrow will be prepping for 4 nights camping with friends. The local met service has issued a weather warning for 60mph winds for the first night. Gulp.

Weather app suggests an optimistic 26C day. Doesn’t feel like the start of one.

21 here and it does feel like it. It’s very humid. I just got trapped in my car for a few minutes, pulling up in the work car park the minute a monsoon started.

Just grey drizzle here. Not cold but also not overly humid either. More like October. Sigh.

There's a lovely breeze kicking about. I think I'll take the dog out early before it gets to 25 (or so my app says).

It is absolutely bucketing it down here. My street is more or less a river at this point.
Before I left work we had thunder and lightning, and at one point the thunder was so loud it sounded like something huge had crashed into the roof.

Torrential rain again, and the light outside has turned an oddly strong shade of yellow. Like someone's been playing around with the sky's settings.

It was lovely up here. Had one of the best days in years for being out on my bike.
Warm, but not hot, with a warm gentle breeze and NO crosswinds howling by the usual place. It was brilliant.
Even leaving morrisons later on when I left the shop it was so warm and pleasant out. Mist has rolled in and tomorrow is promising to be quite shite.
Sadly, it's not lasting long 😢

So when I said "torrential", what I apparently meant was what the news described as "A months rainfall in a day". Flash floods closed some nearby roads.
Which is why I chose not to walk to the pub and back tonight.

It was pretty hardcore in Reading too. Lots of lightning and very loud, immediate thunder overheard
