Unless you have a STANLEY® FATMAX® FUBAR® Utility Bar in your pocket at all time you're not even trying.

Correct.
But, if you have, you’re getting arrested for “going equipped”, so it’s swings and roundabouts, really.

EMarkM then I'd highly recommend not getting one of these. It's a big old unit. That said, it's impressively tough and got about twice as many tools as my old, well used and loved Sidekick, so I'm happy with it. I'm used to carrying everything I need in copious pockets and strapped to my belt, tbh, so it's not that much different. I've got all sorts of things that are belt mounted. I go out to the forest or wilds in winter with things like a torch, keychain, water bottles, multi-tool, poop bags and treats for dogface... you just need a good, strong webbing belt. My phone lives in my pocket, though. Are you Batman?

I've got a Leatherman Wave+ (I think it is) that I carry around in my general kit at work, but I don't use it much, to be honest. It's a bit flimsy for the sort of things I need it for.
The most use I get out of anything I carry on my utility belt is my Silky saw, which is also incredibly useful for putting off potential attackers when you blunder into somewhere you're not welcome.

"my Silky saw" sounds a bit wrong...

I am genuinely surprised by the number of people who clip things to their belts here. I don't know anyone who does that IRL. Also blundering into somewhere you're not welcome and having to defend yourself with a weapon isn't a big thing among my acquaintances.

I've wandered into three homeless camps in the middle of nowhere just this week. Sadly, a hazard of my job. One of them was blatantly up to illegals so they weren't keen on me being there.
I'm not allowed to carry a machete (although I think I may start anyway) so a Silky is as good as it gets.

You would be surprised (or perhaps not, given the parlous state of society) how many people there are sleeping rough or in weird little camps in the woods. The worst I've encountered was a camp of about forty people - men, women, children, really vulnerable older people - living in tents around a massive communal shitpit and surrounded by rubbish as they were nicking anything they could. Half of them had TB as they'd come from a country with no vaccination program, and it was not a salubrious place. Lots of needles on the ground too.
This was right in the middle of Cricklewood, btw, on a bit of abandoned railway land next to a train depot and not out in the wilds somewhere.

Probably left with no other option given the state of public services and support here. It depresses me as much as this sort of thing angers the racists.

None of my nunchaku will fit in my pockets. I've seen some telescopic nunchaku that you can carry in a little pouch, I haven't tried them maybe they're ok but I'm not convinced they'll feel right in terms of weight and the shape of the sticks. I'm thinking of buying a pair from Nate and Nick Diaz's company they look really dope www.representltd.com/search?q=nunchuks

I've done it.
I've started wearing a wallet chain again.
I'll probably feel embarrassed in a week or so, but until then I'm bringing wallet chains back yo.

You’re just ahead of the curve. Nu metal is due a comeback in 2030 It's already begun. Bands like Tallah, Tetrarch, Wargasm, Bloodywood have had some positive critical and audience response. Arguably even acts like Nova Twins are influenced by Nu Metal. (I'm down with the kids, it's not an early mid-life crisis I swear.)

Thinking of getting an edc torch for my partner's birthday. Any recommendations?
I've been looking at some olight ones that look good, particularly the baton 3 pro.
I also ordered her a mushroom foraging knife off her etsy wishlist and it looks a bit brutal! What's the legality of carrying a folding knife in the UK?

i think whether it locks in position or not is a thing, and the length, fnar, but largely it's down to whether carrying it is "reasonable" - ie if you're also carrying a mushroom identification book & a twee woven basket vs if your partner has any gang tats
