Yep there’s tons of inventory clogging up warehouses that’ll be shifted at a steep discount over the next couple of years

I'm so fickle though that I know I'll change my mind a few times. Though I've always liked the silhouette of the Tarmac frames. But after having a Canyon part of me just loves how much cheaper they are than the big brands.
I looked at Colnago and remembered that I am poor lol. Quite like the Supersix as well

Haven’t you got a garage worth of them?
There’s quite a few bikes I like but are all too rich for my blood. The Factor bikes look nice but not something I’d be able to afford without my partner stabbing me in the neck

Wilier? I would really rather like one of them. However, I blew a load 😳 on a new road and a gravel bike fairly recently so need to behave for a while.
I did get rid of a couple of older bikes though, so i am at break even for acceptable behaviour in my wife's books.
I think...

Just the two, Master and a C60. The last proper Colnago frame they made, been progressively worse since then

I’ve got a soft spot for Wilier, my first carbon frame. Still got it, 2011 Cento Uno. Mostly lives on the turbo lately

Bit of advice needed. I am starting to train for a sprint marathon. Novice would be an understatement.
Tempted to use my brompton but I probably need something half decent. Just torn between a road or hybrid bike. For my level which is rock bottom the concensus seems to be go for a hybrid.
Wondering if anyone had any thoughts or experience on it?

Sprint triathlon? Get a road bike, it’ll be more comfortable and faster. Decathlon Triban starts at a couple of hundred quid, get whatever suits your budget. The more you spend the lighter it’ll be

Yeah so it's not that far 20km on the bike. Working up to a full triathlon next season.
Ahh ok. Thought the hybrid would be more comfortable

I would love to see you race it on the Brompton though!

A hybrid traditionally has flat bars and lots of mounts for baskets, panniers etc. flat bars aren’t great when you want to push on, a more upright geometry puts more pressure on your back and arse when going faster. road bikes with drop bars give you 3 options for hand positions so you can be more aero, spread weight between arms and legs, use less energy, better gearing for going faster etc

I would love to see you race it on the Brompton though! Haha apparently it has been done, flats would be ok but hills in the thing are awful.

I have seen mountain bikes on a sprint triathlon, but seeing a a brompton go by would be hilarious. I think you would really be doing yourself a disservice for the time you could achieve with that option.
Definitely try and pick up a road bike, borrow one from a mate/colleague or even a cheapo second hand one would likely be better than your initial suggestion. Elstoof's suggestion would be newer, but possibly not have higher spec than a good second hand one.
Just make sure you ride it plenty before the event and get a service from your LBS to give it a tickle up first!

Does anyone want this ICAN GRA02 frameset, been sat in the shed for years and im not packing it up to move to another shed for eternity. Great riding frameset if gravel is your thing, it’s just not mine. Got me round the Dirty Reiver like a champ. I’m 6” for size reference

Funnily enough, someone else on another forum I use literally just mentioned they're looking for a gravel bike
Just how many frames do you own haha

You're living the dream. Not sure if I'm happy for you or just pure envy.
