So is it dead now? Know they got tasked with helping other things last year before the X/S launched but nearly a year into this gen and not a single title added to the BC programme.
Kept a bunch of 360 titles I held off playing waiting for them to become BC

I really hope we get a slew of Xbox One games patched up to 4K like they were able to do with 360 games running on the Xbox One X.
And whilst they are at it, add 4k to a load more 360 games now they have the "power of series X" at their disposal.
Cap it off with even more FPS boost games and I'll be a happy man.

If there was to be a last hurrah for some fresh BC content from OG and 360 eras, then the upcoming 20th anniversary would be as good a time as any.

Still, you would want some big releases for an anniversary celebration. I'm not sure Advent Rising, Gunvalkyrie and Chicken Little would pass muster.

I bought Gun Valkyrie a couple of years ago, hoping it comes to BC. (ALso that I'll be able to invert the inverted controls, making them normal not pervert.) |

My only hope is that, if the BC program is indeed starting again, we might actually have some chances to see Project Zero eventually.

A few OG Xbox games have randomly appeared on the marketplace. These include DOA1/2/3 (the gall of selling you 1 and 2 separately when Ultimate was a single release), RDR1, Munch and some others. No Chicken Little though.
May be that an announcement is indeed coming at the anniversary stream....

Wish they'd make 4 BC though, as I think it's actually the best in the series.

DOA3 and those other games are now available to buy digitally.
The disc still doesn't work on my Xbox One though, I guess they haven't enabled BC server-side yet?

Even if most of their music was made in-house, just one licensed track is enough to screw you up. RR6 was delisted years ago, before the BC program was even a thing. So long ago, in fact, that I can't even find any info in the usual sites. No other Ridge Racer game is available digitally either: the 3DS was never made available digitally, I think, and the PSP, Vita and PS3 ones were delisted circa 2014. Seems they lasted more than the 360 game though. |

Thing is Ridge Racer doesn't use licensed tracks. It's all in-house Namco staff. They also worked on the Tekken and Ace Combat series, among others. Katamari, etc.
