I don't remember if I already voted for Interstate 76, but that would be one of mine. That would need to be more of a remake than a remaster. The basic game and gameplay could be pretty identical, but with modern physics and damage. And they could expand on the levels and additional details and interactivity in the world.
The other would be Jedi Knight and Mysteries of the Sith. For this, I'd basically just want a total remake but in a modern graphics engine. I wouldn't want them to update the gameplay as that would lead to them making it into a Modern FPS which isn't what I want at all.

If they're updating Knights of the Old Republic to make it canon with current Star Wars continuity, then I'd be up for them doing the same with Dark Forces. Maybe it could be about the secret development of the Dark Troopers and tie into The Mandalorian.
I'm still annoyed Rogue One stole the plot from DF's first mission...

If we have to have remakes instead of new shit, I'd like remakes of Enslaved and Majin.

Phantasy Star Online
Dreamcast version. No extra fluff, no new areas - just a remake that absolutely nails the atmosphere.

In other remake news, the remaster of Pandora Directive seems to be going well. The comparison video they’re out out of remastering the video to 4K is very impressive - bigfinishgames.com/third-times-the-charm/

I'm still annoyed Rogue One stole the plot from DF's first mission... Given the character names, I'm gonna assume they had at least some interest in Dark Forces. Jyn Erso always sounded remarkably similar to Jan Ors to me. But Rogue One didn't spend the middle 2 hours with them wandering around a very confusing sewer level. Though I think the basic plot of how they got the death star plans has been done in a number of books/comics/games and I doubt any of them quite line up. If we're dreaming, if they updated JK+MotS I'd have no objection to them updating DF into the same engine. Though I think DF doesn't really have much that would make it stand out these days, so it might need a much bigger remake. JK2 can rot though.

askew - Alan Wake's remaster and Rockstar's current track record for remasters doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. Curious to see how they turn out though. /edit Although the more I read the more I like the sound of it. Current gen/PC only and has the budget of a typical Remedy game.

Cyberpunk 2077
More seriously, I'd love remakes of Thief 2, Deus Ex and No one lives forever 2.
A Grand Prix Legends remake by the Papyrus team and a new Geoff Crammond F1 game would also be my nirvana.

A new Geoff Crammond game would be great.
I'd love an new Fatal Racing/Whiplash, absolutely bonkers tracks and car physics.
Also, and I know this will never happen, but a new Sega GT, or some Sega-made simcade racer.

I haven't played any F1 games since the days of GP Legends or Geoff Crammond. How would a new version of a Geoff Crammond F1 game differe from current F1 games?

More of a simulation of the sport as a labour of love than a mass market game. His last one Gp4 predated the codies series by a decade yet it had fantastic ai, mechanical failures and wet track dynamics that the modern series has only just recently caught up with nearly 20 years later. Even now there are aspects of GP4 that are more sophisticated.

F1 games peaked with the PS1 when they had Murray Walker commentary. I still own the original Formula 1, and Formula 1 97. I have some fond memories of smacking the front wing off the Jordan and winning.

Hmm, I’ll temper my enthusiasm then, though I’ve not played the Alan Wake Remaster after finding the original really dull.

Isn't the new Prince of Persia Sands of Time remake out soon or has it been put back another year?

Did anyone have Max Payne 1&2 on their list? I'm interested to see what the remake will be like.

Also, Diddy Kong Racing or Wacky Races.
CTR scratched the itch for a while but what happened to 'Adventure Kart' racers with expansive single player modes?
Loved DKR and WR back in the day for their single player content.

Tomb Raider 1. Original areas but expand them out a little more, either into Souls esque level design or something like the size and exploration of God of Wars world. Exploration leads to paths that require greater tests of puzzle solving or platforming which lead to collectibles, health upgrades etc. Restrict combat to a handful of encounters and set piece moments to make them stand out.
Bring back the original Lara personality too while we're at it, the new trilogy bored me to tears. Like it was 3 origin stories less interesting than Lara's background description printed on one page on the manual that came with the box.

Silent Hill 1-3 Would settle for decent remasters of 2 and 3 as they still look really good
And Code Veronica - it's the only one I haven't played and I can't be arsed with emulation

The hotseat multiplayer in the old Crammond F1 games was genius. I’m amazed it’s never appeared anywhere else.
Me and a mate used to spend hours hunched round my dad’s PC doing hotseat seasons.

What Rhaegyr said, it's an absolute slog of a game it's aged badly with some terrible mechanics behind it as well as the constant backtracking and I'm not surprised it hasn't been remade or remastered as a) it's clear Capcom are linking all the remade and current Resi games with a consistent tone, although I don't know how Resi 4 will fit and B) CV was not a popular game so why would they bother?

I'm surprised by the aged badly, as that seems to suggest it's unplayable. It's of it's time, but having played CV and Silent Hill 2 in the past few years, they are well worth re-visiting imo.
