What happens if you demake a remake. Does that make it a deremake? "We ended up calling ourselves The New Originals..."

I’d quite like them to ramake or remaster Xbox Live tonight.

Maybe if Remedy doing another Max Payne goes down well we may get another 'Wet' out of Bethesda. Fancied a go on it this weekend when I set my 360 up but I can't find my copy anywhere.

I was shocked to see Wet has at least quadrupled in price in the last year. It used to be a £2.00 game.
Since Wet used licenced music so heavily and it's an integral part of the flavour of each stage and can't be easily replaced, we probably won't be seeing Wet again.

I didn't even know Wet was a thing. Looks like it would have been my kind of game, if it had come to PC. Which is probably why I didn't even know it was a thing.
I guess it was in that period of gaming where big publishers forgot PCs existed.

It really depends on what exactly is getting 'remastered' I played through the Dreamcast version of Soul Reaver back in the day. That was already an improved version of what PS1 players experienced.
I hope they finally wise up and just respectfully port these games rather than revise scripts and artwork.

I only played the demo of Soul Reaver back in the day, but it's weird not many similar games have taken the 'switch between worlds' mechanic. Loads of 2d platformers have, and maybe the odd fps, but not that many 3d action games really.

One of the reasons I loved the reboot of Lords of the Fallen

Dunno.
Maybe loads of games did, but I didn't notice. I think one of the metroid prime ones did, but again that's a slightly different vibe of game.

Lords of the Fallen, most recently. And Metroid Prime 2 as well, yeah

I dislike Metroid Prime 2 for that reason. I love backtracking and I love Metroidvanias in general, but that light/dark world system makes it’s so predictable as to what you’re going to be doing in 10 - 20 minutes time that it all begins to feel like a chore.
Probably my least favourite Metroid game. Except maybe Hunters.

Quite a few of the Silent Hill games have an alternate World, more Dark and Even Darker World though. I Don't really count the really linear ones that push you from one area to the next with no backtracking, just the ones where you can visit alternate versions of the same place.

Have they said what they plan to do with Maxs voice? Are they just going to try and improve/enhance McCaffreys original work or recast the role.

Nightdive have acknowledged System Shock 2 is 25 years old today.
This would have been the perfect time to drop their Enhanced Edition to everyone.
But they didn't.
Okay, bye.
