They've probably killed all hope of a new Legacy of Kain reboot/remaster too.
Bastards.

I think there was questions/rumours about Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver remakes, but again with Embracer's situation they may be a long way coming...
EDIT: I should refresh the page before posting

That is a pain for sure, I had my hopes up for a while but with all the layoffs it probably is wishful thinking.

Tbh, I don't think the group is long left for this world and you'll be looking at either more closures ala Volition and IP hoarding or a fire sale.

Most wanted remaster is Metal Gear Solid and looking at the countdown for it to unlock digitally at 8am tomorrow for some reason is killing me. Hurry uuuuup!

I loved metal gear solid when it came out but I will give the remakes a miss. A shoe in for ps plus in 6 months, Shirley?

I wouldn't mind a remake of The Getaway. I can't think of another game, where you play from two different perspectives. Then I check what the studio is up to.. "The studio is currently working on a cooperative multiplayer game for the PlayStation 5." yawn. I loved the Getaway. The combat was so much more satisfying than GTA

A port of the original Deus Ex to consoles would be nice but I think the series is currently dormant again. Should have happened when they reawakened it the first time It could also open the way for other Unreal engine ports. Never played the first Unreal but it's suppose to be good and I wouldn't mind an UT99 port either (think it'd play much better on consoles than Q3, read in to that what you will) Apparently Eidos Montreal were working on a new game but with Embracer up shit creek I would imagine that's been canned. I bet someone could do a cool Hitman style spin-off in the Deus Ex universe. The last game felt like an instalment of something bigger already itself.

Just a shame it had the health recovery by leaning against a wall..

I'd argue that it's even worse in this instance, given that the compilation is a bare-bones reissue rather than an *actual* new release.
It's not even as though these are day one patch notes, as some shill in the Push Square comments section is trying to claim - these issues won't be fixed at launch, but at some vague point in the future.

That Metal Gear Collection on Switch seems a bit all over the place. MGS2 and 3 sometimes manage to exceed the 30fps cap, before slipping back within a lock. MGS1 suffers dips down into the low 20s almost from the get go. I wonder what the porting process involved.

I think it was an under funded and reduced time one.

Not a massive fan of the mergers and acquisition that have been going on in recent years but wouldn't complain if someone bought Konami. Got some great IP and I'd love a remake of one of the classic PES games.

Konami's got Yu-Gi-Oh, if someone can afford that plus everything else they've got it'd be very impressive (and kinda scary for everyone else)

With playing lords of the fallen, it makes me want a remake of Soul Reaver even more. The level design and puzzles were great and how seamless it was back then was incredible. I think it was 2 animated door openings between areas. Outstanding for ps1 disc game. Yeah, the game was constantly streaming data from the disc. Pretty novel for the PS1, though apparently not for games in general (I think there is evidence for data streaming systems dating at least as far back as the Atari 800, such as in Seven Cities of Gold, where it was used to make one of the earliest open worlds).
