Some good stuff on here. I like the light speed car at 1.30 Outstanding. Todd Howard must be seething with jealous rage
Gotta say that the lighting and shadows shown in the final clip are a nice addition.

Must say though, despite all the above, I've enjoyed the hour or so I've played SA via game pass. I don't know if it's just nostalgia for the PSP Liberty City game, which was my first open worlder, but there's something about the city that just looks and feels quite good. Can't quite put my finger on it.

I can't wait to get out of the city and into the countryside. Very few games have given me that WOW factor like that part. |

It's reported that a Rockstar producer says that the games were always like this and anybody claiming otherwise is afflicted with rose tinted spectacles because the definitive editions are using data directly taken from the original versions. I call bullshit, it's not like you can just cut and paste data into entirely different engines, even porting to the same engine between different platforms is often an issue. They need to remember that despite R* best attempts we can still play the originals and see this isn't the case. |

Yeah, I've just finished watching. It was savage by their standards. I was unaware the Switch was that bad, I mean it's a fucking trainwreck. The more you dig into the crazier it gets, like the developer developed the original mobile version under a different name. That this is game is confirmed to be using the mobile version as a base. And the inability for a basic looking game not being able to run at 60fps on next gen consoles that can run stuff like Spiderman with ray tracing at 60fps.

Any review of these games that doesn't say they're crap are obviously scared of being blacklisted by Rockstar, the best thing for any gutless organisations is to just not to review them.

That Brooke Bond D advert was a glorious blast from the past. I just started singing the words, quite how my brain has managed to store that and then recall it instantly is literally amazing.
The flip side to that is this absolute shitshow. Im loving the reveals of all the crap left in the code and assets, especially hotcoffee. Of all the 'blown out of proportion' shit they endured last time, surely to god you would've thought this nightmare would have been eradicated from existence.

An important tidbit from the DF video, for anyone who doesn't have the time to watch, is that playing the PS4 version on PS5 gets you stable 60fps.

Youtube is awash with compilations of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition gltches, unflattering scenes and comparisions. Even if there was a patch that fixed everything a lot of people wouldn't even use it now.
The release has been such a disaster it's become a comedic event where there is more value in laughing at Rockstar than playing the actual game itself. At this point their best option is to keep quiet and pretend nothing happened, any patches would just extend the bad publicity since short of a miracle, they'll just lead to even more compilations of glitches that they missed, there's enough already out there to provide hours of footage.

It'll get to a point where we'll all move onto the next thing. Who really sits and complains about Cyberpunk? Unless they release a patch, then a few people comment.
As I said SA on GP. The core game is still fun.

Yeah I was getting fed up of the video after 20 minutes; It was painful to watch. I do really enjoy DF content, but in this case they could have covered all 3 games in 40 minutes. It would have been nice to establish up-front if any of the 3 games are worth playing, and save everyone some time. They could have then done 3 further videos covering each game more extensively, if they really thought it was worth it. |
