Yep, there's definitely an Emperor's Children refresh coming - their omission from the CSM Codex is as good as a confirmation. Most likely right at the end of the edition as that's usually when they introduce new Primarch models.

Had some too, in garish/pastel pinks and greens !
That article makes it sound more like a test for the EC tbh, if it's popular, then maybe they'll think about it. GW have always struggled with the sexual nature of She Who Thirsts after all.
My weekend was making some Scars Guard to accompany a killteam, and using the "spares" to make 10 Krieg Riders lol. Hopefully I'll make some money back...

Anyone use any specialised tools to clean mold lines, or is a craft knife usually enough?
I got an Edryc Setorax from eBay for a fiver and the lines on him are some of the worst I've ever seen. Some of the detailing on his Deathwatch shoulder pad sems slightly miscast, but that area of it is completely covered by the jump-pack.
EDIT:
What utter, brilliant madness:

I've got an old hobby knife with a fairly blunt blade that I use specifically for mold lines and flashing. I do use sharper knives on occasion though when I'm feeling too lazy to find my mold line scraping knife, I just take it a bit slower.

Do B&M or home bargain sell a poly cement with a half decent applicator? Need some more but can’t be arsed to trek to the local GW. I’d order off Amazon but it basically doubles the cost (same with all the online dealers like goblin gaming or Element once you’ve factored in postage).

The BnM near me only has the evil foil tubes of gunk. Never been to a Home Bargains as far as I am aware. Any model shops (Airfix style) near you?

Not without travelling into the twon centre or going out my way. Might just wait for the next big order I put together, or send the wife into GW when she’s in town. I’ve already got enough assembled I need to paint anyway!

Fuck me, 3D printed Warhammer stuff is an absolute rabbit hole to disappear down for a few hours.
That one of these has a terrible mustache has amused me as much as the fact that they even exist:
Not just Primarchs though.
They did an Emperor. The crazy bastards actually did it.

@blue_Mike
Personally dislike knives because they’ll f*ck you up if you slip.
I use the Citadel mould tool people hate - I have the set of their tools when they had dark brown handles. The worst injury you will do if you slip with that is a bruise. But it works somewhere between a blunt knife and a file - it’s definitely moderately abrasive.
I also bought a ‘Gundam Kit’ off Amazon, primarily TBH because it had two sets of good tweezers and a scalpel for decals. But that came with two double sided emery boards with different grits and a very gnarly metal file which is very thin and *very* abrasive! This kit was absolutely stinking value at about 10 quid all in. I use those extras on bigger/more special models.
I’m not that precious about mould lines myself and always miss some accidentally anyway. Personally dislike the nubbins from snipping off sprues more than a faint line.

amzn.eu/d/gm9UIWkThat’s the Gundam kit if interested. It’s currently less than a tenner.

Lol. Hadn’t spotted that.
They are decent quality. Certainly better than the Citadel ones you get in the starter kits, and comparable to the premium Citadel ones. They’re very ‘needle nose’ so I have them as more of a complimentary pair for hard to reach snips - as I like to use the straight edge of my bigger pair flush with the surface.
BTW your shout over Airfix type shops was a great one - and another is general hobby/craft shops. Fred Aldous has three shops in the north (not sure where Knighty is from). A few model rail places around too that aren’t always obvious.
I’d just bite the bullet and order one though if it was that or a city centre chore trip. My last tube lasted a good couple of years, and the needle applicator cleans up brilliantly over the gas hob.

Ahem. Some of us are World Eaters fans, and the odd slip is essential during their construction, part of the process etc...

In the end I ordered a small bottle of hunmbrol poly cement (and the linked toolset as well, good shout on that) from Amazon to turn up today. Will tide me over til I place a big order with element or something I think.

Same here! I have a bunch of unbuilt 28mm Caesarian Romans and a decent Gallic warband painted up from a Covid project that didn't go anywhere*. The Punic Wars in Epic scale would look amazing and be a really fun painting challenge too. But getting anyone interested in actually playing a game with them would be a real challenge. *Not strictly true, they went up in the attic.

I'd love to do some ancients and using the epic battles scale would be great, as you could really get the scale, As you'll read about some battle where 4 consular legions engaged across a 4-5km front, I love 28mm minis but sometimes you want to see something at a more real scale. Plus all those Warlord rules are effectively based on Warmaster (Black Powder, Hail Caesar, Pike and Shotte) so you get rules including fog of war/attrition. You actually have to send orders to units from your general unit, so they can get isolated and you can lose control of units that get surrounded or are too far out on the flank. As they are by Rick Priestly. Their other rules Bolt Action are heavily influenced by Epic 40K by Alessio Cavatore. They're getting a new edition, they announced it at Salute last weekend. But I failed to take many photos. On a similar note Pendraken have taken over the X Commander rules, which are also based on Warmaster, so there's a new Blitzkrieg Commander out and they're working on revising Sci-Fi Commander, which is generic Epic scale rules with poorly disguised 40K stand ins. Anyway here's some old pictures of the amount of Epic scale Waterloo French I got through. It's maybe a third of the infantry in the starter box...

This might be of use to someone in this thread! Must...resist... Think a box of pastel pencils is still better value (shave them to powder, works the same) but it's a nice wee budget starter. Built some nice Heresy-esque breachers today on standby at work - Cadian legs, S.Auxilia torso head, Navy Breacher arms, and Arbite shoulderpads where appropriate. Not that I try to make things awkward. Should probably get some photos up tomm, and somehow get back to painting those Mechanicus.

I really like this new Warcry set.
The two warbands lookcool, but also seem to have just a little bit more going on under the hood than a lot of them. The new (I think) terrain rules for existing terrain pieces are quite nifty too.
Plus the elves look a bit like Harlequins, which is bonus cool.

The only thing I can think of is the classic ‘I barely knew her’ one
More of a terrible misogynist joke than a meme though 😂
