You can get down to under 3 easily.
I replay 3 loads and can do it in under 2 hours now.

Wasn’t S rank in the original sub-2 hours per scenario too?

Not sure exactly but I think it was different in the original with time, healing items and saves all counting towards an S rank Under 2 hours on RE3R is relatively easy if you have a YouTube guide playing on your iPad next to you that’s how I did it with time to spare. Without that I’d have no chance. Just copied what was happening on screen

Looking forward to playing RE2 and 3 remakes once I've finished 4. The 4th one had been brilliant so far.

I'll warn you now, it's difficult to adjust to not having the kick/supplex etc moves! Excellent games though.

Same replaying 2 after 3, and missing the dodge.

I found the dodge to be so unreliable must be a me issue

If I ever got the dodge to work in the 3make it was purely by chance. Luckily you’re generally well armed enough for it not to be too much of an issue.

Once it clicks it's pretty reliable. It's like learning to parry in Dark Souls.

Playing RE 4 remake and they did a great job as the old RE4 port from the GC days its getting ropey without decent improvements. I hope they can make a new game with old style zombies

Just did the cannon bit around chapter 7-ish and felt broken as seemed like it spawn endless enemies and constant cannon fire that was laser targeted. It was a loop of shooting enemies then hit by the 2 cannons. Never had a issue on the original RE4. So far it does feel the game will spawn endless enemies at points. Did get past it

I’ve played and finished the remakes of 2 and 3.
Never played 4 new or old. Is it more of an action game compared to the previous titles?

Finished 2 with Claire today. Wondering whether to bother with a B scenario or just move straight to 4 remake. Suspect it’ll be the latter.

Quite liked the house with the killer doll in RE village although its quite easy once you know where the shit head baby goes
I saw some mods for the PC ver. where it changes the baby at the start to chris redfield's head and the one where it changes Chris redfield's head to the baby from the start of the game. Its so dumb, its great!

Although they’re not as unique as on PS1 I’d say you’ve got to play all for RE2 scenarios to get the most out of it. Just a pity the DLC looks like its setting up story content, only to play as survival modes.

by RE4, the formula was getting a bit tired but they went a bit further into the action route (the RE4 prototype with the hookman was more of balanced of atmosphere and action) When Shinji Mikami left, they just had yes men who just pumped out what ever the publishers wanted eg more shooting, more western gamer focused

Don't blame them considering RE4 is the greatest RE by some considerable distance. Then REmake, then the rest.

Remember, RE4 is the reason we got RE6 🤣
It's a good game but not really a Resident Evil game. Theres a reason a lot of fans treat CV as the true RE4.

It's definitely a Resident Evil game.
Was Fallout 3 not a Fallout game? Or the recent God of War reboot not a God of War game?

I'd actually call RE4 the DS2 of the series...

That's low!
I'd say it's more like the Sekiro or Bloodborne of the series. Takes all the best bits, amplifies them and leaves the unnecessary shit behind.

Zero is the last true Resident Evil.
It's generally overlooked because it's unique features often rub people up the wrong way. The character switching can be considered an ongoing difficulty selector, I'd advise keeping Billy under AI control whenever possible, Rebecca is the one that really needs your help staying out of trouble.
The elimination of item boxes is the one that draws most complaints. Does this room have lots of doors some of which are still locked? Dump your stuff here, you'll obviously be coming back. Problem solved.

Nah it's shit. They had run out of ideas and were stuck trying to extend the story that connects 2, 3 and 0 together. The partner mechanic is poorly implemented and then item mechanic is obtuse for the sake of being obtuse the company even admits it wasn't great.
4 was a genuine breath of fresh air and changed the 3rd person genre forever.
