May have been mentioned but RE4 remake is confirmed full PSVR2 which should be cool. I know they said there will be PSVR2 content but havn’t found anything yet saying it’s fully confirmed. My guess that it will be but don’t think it’s confirmed as the whole thing. Yet. |

I listed the formats I actually had it on, hadn't realised there were native 360/ps3 versions. Am I correct in remembering that the differences between X and original were very slight (less than RE4 GC to later ports)?

CV is the game where I became tired of the Resi structure but this took the biscuit as it became an incessant slog near the end and it constant backtracking just to prolong the game was belligerent in how unnecessary it was. Resi 4 was the shakeup the series greatly needed.

The plot was a big jump into nonsenseville after the PS1 trilogy kept things relatively grounded too

Resi 4 was the shakeup the series greatly needed. I had fond memories of that game on my dreamcast but recently tried it on my wee retro emulator. Got as far as Chris in the arctic base and just lost the will to play it. Don't get me started on the bloody Tyrant plane fight either. The first bit on the Island with Claire is decent though, until... yeah, it just gets shit. |

CV is the only mainline Resi I haven't played. Something about it makes it seem like the odd one out. I think you can play it on Series X, so I should be excited that there is an accesssible RE that I haven't played, but I am not excited

Like I say, for me, it's very much a case of fond memories. It looked the absolute nuts when it came out. First RE game that wasn't pre-rendered backgrounds. The lighting was phenomenal and the opening areas were really good. It just gets quite pants later on and (as has been said) outstays it's welcome by quite a bit. Plus. Steve. The cunt.

Played it when I was 12 and haven't played it since. Maybe why I have fond memories of it.
I'd like it to get a remake like they're doing with the others.

I played it on PS2 rather than Dreamcast (although I did have a Dreamcast too)
Seem to recall that it came with a demo of Devil May Cry in the box but cannot remember much of CV at all despite completing it. Don’t remember thinking it was inferior to the other games in the series though

Its weird to think that this is the “real” Resi 3, or it was intended to be. I think Sony’s lawyers did us a favour by insisting the Jill spin-off that was closing the Racoon City story be renamed as per some old contract they had that gave them so many exclusive numbered titles. |

I didn’t like the new voice actor for Krauser, and have palpitations over aspects being different (the aforementioned pairings with Luis) but I’ll also be there day one, because it’s not like I haven’t played the original forty times.

I mean you have to be there day one, it's a remake of one of the greatest games ever made AND Capcom are in the best state they've ever been, both commercially and creatively, in a long ass time.
