8 has the scariest bit of all the games, it made me nearly cry. I had to pysche myself up for a week to get through it. The scariest part of that bit for me was all the build up rather than the reveal. So much atmosphere piled on super thick.

I’ve only started playing this week. Heck, even the intro hut - after the cupboard reveal - had me refusing to turn around…
I got RE3 on Xbox recently too, but in the first proper Nemesis encounter I lost my patience once I’d used my grenade and kept getting smashed or whipped.

New movie trailer. Looks like they’ve taken a lot from the first two games. Although everyone looks more like a cosplayer than a character in a legit film.

That actually looks pretty good for what it is. Whatever that big CGI monster was looked pretty ropey though

That looks ok I guess, although some of the CGI looks really bad.
Some scenes look re-created right out of the games which at least gives me hope that they want to try and do it justice and stay faithful to the games.
No doubt I'll watch it at some point.

I think that looks great, dodgy CGI aside.

That looks alright actually.
CGI difeinitely needs work but probably a bit late now.
What was that awful music about though?

I finally started RE3 Remake the other day, it's had a pretty cool start.
Got to the first real non-scripted Nemesis bit, managed to do a bunch of perfect dodges by complete accident as I ran off to save. Hopefully it's not a long section being followed.

He's never around for too long, and with the dodge he's easy to avoid. I can't remember him ever outstaying his welcome.

I'll have to work out the dodge properly, I was jammy as fuck with it when I got it. I can't tell whether you need to do it a bit early or literally at the last minute. I did it a few times where the natural timing felt spot on and I still got grabbed.

I always found the dodge more effective against Nemesis than normal zombies but if I’m honest I pretty much forgot all about it after the first encounters

Praydog has announced RE7 support for his mod with this test video. It’s in the very early stages right now but it’s looking promising. Better late than never lol

That looks cool. I was really disappointed with Capcom for stealth cancelling the VR version. Bit of a shitty thing to do.
Hopefully that mod works as well as PSVR.

Well it also works with RE2 and RE3 and RE8 and with these it has hand tracking the lot so if he does hand tracking for this one it will be better than the PSVR one which is controller based.

Finished the free Chris dlc from REVII earlier (90 mins from start to finish) really enjoyed and well worth a playthrough, upon completion you unlock "nightmare" mode of that is your thing.

Not a hero is pretty decent yeah. I think the action focus of it is a nice palette cleanser from the more measured main game.
RE7 was pretty great overall.

The RE2, RE3 VR mod has melee combat from swinging your arm and weapon collision detection, all with full motion controls, not bad for a mod Mod also works with RE7 and RE8.

RE8's final boss is a bit of a jump in difficulty, innit? Any way I can cheese it? Am I going to regret not getting all the meals.

askew I don’t remember it being hard on standard difficulty but I’m a completionist type so always go in super prepared If you shoot her in the head it’s increased damage I think. Blocking seemed to work well too I’ve done the fight twice, once on standard, once on the next difficulty up, and it was a case of just unload all your bullets to win Both times, just as I was about to run out, it was over

I remember turtling, tanking and unloading all the magnum rounds I could carry. No preplanned tactics at all.

Yeah, did it. fucken mouldy bitch Dragged a little I thought: maybe the chapters could have been in a slightly different order? The Chris interlude was probably my highlight in that second half.

Resident Evil: Village in VR with motion controls with the new praydog mod which is out now. Though for RE8 and RE7 it’s in it’s early stages. *Generic 6DOF VR support to RE7, RE2, RE3, RE8, DMC5, and MHRISE *For RE2 and RE3 they have full motion controls in RE2 and RE3 (when using FirstPerson, it is not enabled by default) *Physical knife damage in RE2/RE3 *Physical grenade throwing in RE2/RE3 You can get it now: github.com/praydog/REFramework/No motion controls for RE7 yet (but they are coming) uses gamepad or mouse/keyboard. But it looks fecking amazing!!!!

I got part way through RE7 before rage quitting at the Chainsaw fight. I just started RE8 and love the intro, however I have a dumb question. During RE7, I remember my hand getting cut and reattached with a contraction or something off so how are my hands normal at the beginning of RE8?

Has anyone given the new movie a go then? Just seen it's been released for rent on demand already which makes me think that it is, unsurprisingly, terrible.
Still, I'm half tempted to rent it off Prime tonight for something to do.
