TGC only shipped mine today, guessing I won't get to play this weekend...

If LaD: Infinite Wealth tells you to press circle (on the PlayStation, obv.) to guard/perfect guard, don’t believe a word it says. It’s L1.
Circle is the button to choose “guard” as your action for that round, which is not the same thing.

On PC at least I'm getting perfect guards with B, just like I did in 7.

Hm, weird, it even says circle in the options, and it's greyed out so you can't even reconfigure it, but it does nothing. Only L1 does.

I've been getting perfect guards with circle. The timing feels a little tougher though.

Le fuq. This is getting weirder by the minute. Maybe I fiddled with the settings in the first one, and it remembers those?

If you are on Xbox, you can pick up the Ultimate Edition on Gamivo for about £30.00 if you know the easy VPN trick.
Use the discount code of Jack-10 at checkout.
Save yourself £65.00 off the RRP. Bargain. I just picked it up myself.

Had a few hours of playing (and hsing circle for ultimate block) and enjoying so far. Reckon I have reached the main story beat.
Hoping the DLC is throwaway as I dont need NG+, and the other big thing seems to just be a dungeon. The extra jobs game on a voicher with my physical PS5 copy. I think the only RGG game I bothered buying DLC for was Most Judgment for the Kaito Files (which I enjoyed but waited for a sale before buying as not physical)

The little movement circle and directional attack indicators makes combat even better than the last one. Using physical attacks so much more often now you actually have control of picking up scenery to beat people down with. Really satisfying playing human ten pin bowling by attacking the guy at the front of a crowd too.

Some 20 hrs in and haven't even gotten to the sujimon stuff, the AC island stuff and only in Chapter 3 knowing there's so much more to come. One of those games when you play you wonder where the time went by. Really great changes to combat too, knocking back and enemy into a party member is always satisfying.

I'm 30 hours or so in now, Chapter 8. Game is absolutely fucking massive and I've barely touched the Sujimon or Dodonko Island stuff yet.
Easily my favourite game this gen already (I know it's cheating as there's a PS4 version, but whatevs). The passion they've got for these games oozes out of every corner of it.

20 odd hours of the rpg prologue section and I've finally reached the main game, Dondoko Island!

So I think I am about 10 hours in now, and I still haven't unlocked the ability to change jobs. This game seems far heavier on the narrative so far than even the original did.
I just read that you can change jobs around chapter 5. I think I have just started chapter 3. I need to stop getting distracted and move the story along more.

But if you don't get distracted who else is going to collect all that shit in the ocean and the food won't deliver itself.

Why unlock the jobs when you can get catfished by an 80 year old woman or a steroid abusing BDSM enthusiast on the dating app.

Why advance the main plot when you can ride on your street surfer listening to 24 hr Cinderella?

Who cares about resolving Kasuga's family history in a timely manner when you can take a tram ride and photograph seedy men in butterfly spandex.

Finished it. Game save clock says 75 hours but Steam says 90 - anyone else have weird discrepancies?

Honolulu City Lights is the biggest City Pop banger they've produced in a while.

Finished it. Game save clock says 75 hours but Steam says 90 - anyone else have weird discrepancies? . How does the game tracks your progress? Cause steam tracks by being in a game. While many games track the gameplay by actually playing. And reloading means you don't get that time counted.

Playing Lost Judgment and it's just as good as the first game, if not better. The amount of side content in the school stories is insane. Some genuinely great characters and writing too. The robotics club mini game is addictive.

Infinite Wealth, 30 hours in and only just unlocked Dondoko island. Can see myself spending some time wasting away the hours here. Also explored a maze type dungeon which is very reminiscent of Mementos from Persona 5. In fact it felt like a straight copy of it, which isn't a bad thing as I quite enjoy exploring that dungeon.
Couple of complaints....
The game took far too long to get going. I did start to lose a little interest in the first 20 hours as it felt like I was stuck in a tutorial, but finally we seem to be picking up some speed.
Kiryu Kazuma is a really dull character. I say this as someone who has only played Like A Dragon and none of the other games. I know they changed the voice actor, I cannot believe that he could of been this dull in those other games? I was worried that Ichiban would have to share the spotlight with Kiryu, but luckily Ichiban still takes centre stage. I really like Ichiban as a charcater, he is a very likeable goofball.

Finished last night. 50 hours but the last 20 were pretty much straight to the finish.
Feel like they massively improved everything other than the story. Fell short and seemed rushed to me towards the end.
Will definitely be playing on and might even pick up the DLC pack with the extra dungeon. Still a solid 9/10 for me, I just wish the plot had got a little more love.

I've just finished the school stories side content of Lost Judgment. I think it's the best Yakuza content I've played so far. So many great characters and such a gratifying finale. Just wonderful storytelling. I'm gonna miss the kids of Seiryu High. Give Amasawa her own game!

Wow. I am just coming up to 50 hours and have just started chapter 8, so about half way as there are 14 chapters I read.
You must of rushed that, or didn't do any of the extra activities or a lot of the side content? Or perhaps I am just really, really slow.
