Yeah Australians grew up with Doctor Who and it remains popular, we’ve alway had it on our public broadcaster as a staple. I think it’s gained a following in the US nowadays too.

I have a whole host of very nerdy social circles here and I don’t think I know a single person who gives one flying shit about current Dr. Who. I know a couple of folks who like the old stuff, but that’s about it.

They tried a partnership in the McGann years, so why not? Because it immediately failed? The McGann hour I’d suggest, not years. I think there was also concern about how badly Americans would fuck it up had it even continued. They seem to be much better with international productions these days after maybe HBO paved the way. |

So having subscribed to ITVX so Mrs Hermit can spend the next few months watching Poirot and Marple, I thought I'd have a look at where it all started. I know it's out of context now as there was nothing else like it at the time but even so, it's not very good is it.
I will persevere with it, although more out of morbid curiosity than a desire to watch them.

It's probably just thier premium sub which buys you into britbox. Might be wrong though, I've barely used itvx as it seems crash-happy on my old fire stick.
