Kelly Brook needs the backpack just to stay upright these days. She is 99% breasts and I approve.

Reading/Leeds highlights on iplayer. Not too much up yet, but they do have some of kneecap, which is good, since none of their set from Glastonbury was shown. Hopefully get more sets from it up in time.

The Big Fat Telly Quiz that was on C4 tonight was a lot of fun but if you can't face two hours (including ads) of Jimmy Carr I hope C4 spreads the Charles Dance doing reality TV quotes bit, it was great.
A rather famous Come Dine With Me moment performed by him is fantastic.

Started that new We Might Regret This sitcom that’s been getting great reviews on BBC2. The cast is full of excellent comic actors and the jokes mostly land but it is essentially another BBC comedy drama and the format is very well worn by this point. I don’t think I’ve even watched one of these that I’ve not thought was good but they all have a whiff of commissioning editors saying “like Fleabag but” about them. So in and of itself this is a fundamentally good and funny programme but I feel like I need something else from a sitcom now. Although admittedly I have also started another Detectorists rewatch to have on while I’m doing the cooking so maybe I just relate more to middle aged men who want some peace and quiet outdoors than I do the relationship problems of cool young women in city centres nowadays.

After "Mammoth" was such an incredible dearth of entertainment, I've given up on the idea that anything the BBC describes as comedy these days can come close to actually being comedy.

Ted
2 episodes in and enjoying it, very much more of the films in tv format. Good to see some of The Orville cast (and guest star as main character) in it
The walking dead; Darryl dixon
1 ep in and its Utter slop, its just shit and even did THE PROPHECY KID never thought darryl was a good main character, ok supporting one. A fanboy "friend" is chomping at the bit for this to consume product and get get excited for next product
The walking dead; the rick one
2 and bit eps in and its ok, good to see rick grimes back in this, shame he is not fighting a giant zombie mutant Coral aka carl

Interview with the Vampire (the telly series). "Sumptuous". It's a lot more er...not straight?...than the film.

Watching Peaky Blinders for the first time, getting towards the end of S2.
It's pretty good! I don't love everything about it (not a huge fan of the Grace character, and there have been some plot beats that have been a little predictable), but the sets are good, the costumes are good, and I like most of the characters.
I didn't even know Tom Hardy was in it! He's great! His whole "I am a walking cartoon caricature" thing doesn't always work, but it works in this show!

season 4 of Only Murders in the Building (Disney) arrives today and guardian gave it 5 stars so I think that's one for this evening. Think they're only dropping one episode a week tho

Must, must, must get back into that.
We started the last season of Sex education. Only 2 and a half episodes in but my word it has fallen off a cliff. The new school and plethora of new characters just doesn't work at all. Very disappointed. May not even bother with the rest (unless someone here convinces me it's worth it)

I still haven't finished S4 of Sex Education. Must watch one episode every 3 months or smth. Agree the new characters aren't very engaging. The whole storyline with Otis Vs New Sex Therapist is really dull too. Although do remember one great scene at a hustings event lol
Great show overall, but ran its course after three series. Tbh, could've been two.

Oh wow, S4 has a 36% audience rating on RT whereas all other seasons were 90+ from both critics and audiences.

Yeah, checked out the IMDB scores too and most are bang average 6s. May still finish it just for character completion but it's a slog already.

Season 4 of SE was so overly preachy it got really fucking stupid, the new characters that were introduced were rubbish too. The Maeve storyline was dreadful.
So in summary, forget it ever existed.

Started Loudermilk a few weeks ago. About halfway through S1. Not sure if I like it. I can see why the forum likes it. The main characters are exactly how I imagine Font Geekers, if they were American...
It's not overly funny to me and Loudermilk is often genuinely annoying. But there is something about it I can't quite put my finger on yet.

If you can survive the awful Cutter storyline you'll be fine.

We started randomly watching The Terror on ITVX last night. It wasn't bad but the truly scary thing was how obtrusive the ads are on there. Really scuppers any kind of tension that you might have felt.
Honestly doubt we'll go back to it just purely based on how bad the user experience is.

The Terror starts well then massively falls apart, it was on BBC2 and iPlayer originally so thankfully ad free then.

It's very highly regarded so I maybe an outlier I just think it gets a bit daft as things progress and the actions of one character in particular are just fucking stupid.

The first season of The Terror is great, proper slow-burn horror. The second season is significantly worse, but it's an anthology show, so you won't be missing much by only watching S1.
