Two episodes into Dopesick and it's pretty great.
Awesome cast led by Michael Keaton (who frankly should have been in way more things over the years), it's the story of the Opioid epidemic in the US.
Probably not a show to have half an eye on, as the plot jumps all over various timelines each episode.

Watching the X-File Gender Bender, I don’t think The Internet would react well to this one these days There are an awful lot of X-Files episodes which were questionable at the time and now are kind of horrifying. Let's not even start on the one with the size-changing body invading disabled yogi, which managed to be gross in so many unintended and Boomer-y ways.

Started season two of The Morning Show... Only an episode in so far but bloody hell what a dip in quality. You guys weren't kidding!
A couple of episodes into WWDITS and it's fantastic stuff as usual, although wish I hadn't read the thread which seemed a bit too light on spoiler tags. I should really know better by now though.
Also started watching random Anthony Bourdain travel shows on YouTube too for some reason.

Chernobyl.
Only season episode 1 so far, but I can see already that is not going to have a happy ending.
Grim stuff and not something to watch while eating lunch. Powerful though and just didn't bear imagining, those poor buggers.
Also Foundation. My wife's a DNF as she says it's just miserable and the two female leads are annoying (I agree with this bit. They're both way too Burnham for me). I think it's just Brother Day that's keeping me interested. I have reached the point where I don't really care if anyone survives, which maybe isn't the response they were hoping for.

Just tried the first episode of Stath Lets Flats. It elicited a few chuckles and the pigeon caper was excellent. Hadn't realised Robert Popper was involved so it's going right up the list. It takes a couple of episodes to settle in with the characters and get adjusted to the general absurdity of it all. And then it's absolutely golden.

The sad thing is I also don't think much of it is actually fiction.

American Gods season 3
It's alright. The novel is a big favourite of mine, so the modernisations are interesting, even if a lot of them annoy me. I'd probably have abandoned it entirely if not for Ian Macshane, he's brilliant.
Also even as a zombie Emily Browning is stunning

I liked (but didn't love) the book years ago and the TV show always looked quite good.

The first season was OK, but far from essential. With all of the delays to S2 and Gillian Anderson leaving I just never bothered picking it up again.
It's not exactly a long book, so three seasons seemed to be pushing it.

Again, if I wasn't such a fan of the book and some of the performances -or had something more compelling to watch - I'd have canned it

Man, Darkness Falls is such a great episode. Still one of my all time favourite X-Files.
Not even playing through Alan Wake’s endless trudges through the woods could put me off this one.

Gordon Ramsey: Uncharted
Depends on how much you can stomach Gordon, but it's kind of like a swearier Somebody Feed Phil. He learns the culture and food of the place then cooks of against a local chef.
He needs to find clothes that don't make his body look like a pillow case that's been overstuffed with sausage meat though.

Midnight Diner - After seeing it mentioned here and at the old place a few times I thought I'd give it a shot. Absolutely loved it and it most definitely wasn't what I expected (a food show). The Morning Show S2E6... It's actually not totally terrible despite what I said earlier. Did three episodes back to back on Friday and two tonight. Absolutely hate the "Mitch and his redemption arc with the crazy Italian lady" bit, though. Am I supposed to just be OK with it all now because he's so charismatic and stuff?...

Midnight Diner is lovely, it's a big comfy pillow on a Sunday afternoon after a big roast of a show. Works well on a hangover as well

I wish my Grandparents were still around to appreciate Ian Mcshane in his roles outside Lovejoy. They'd have loved modern dramas

Anyone watching Showtrial? It’s twisting and turning like a corkscrew. Celine Buckens is great at getting you to hate and then take pity on the main character Talitha and then ripping your pity away, only to reel you in again.
It’s by the same company that makes Line of Duty and has the same ability to whip a surprise bombshell out of nowhere. Unlike Line of Duty, you don’t know who the good guys are, because everyone, even the police are playing the man (or in this case, woman) and not the ball.

Works well on a hangover as well I love the actor that plays the Yakuza dude, he's the star of Kodoku no guru-me, it's been going for 9 years or so. Basically a Tokyo based specialised import dealer goes to visit his clients then gets hungry and explores local restaurants. Not much in terms of character development or interesting stories but great for chilled out Japanese food porn with humour. I don't know how to see it legit so have downloaded...

The Lost Symbol
Not sure how many episodes there are, but I reckon I must be getting somewhere near the end. Usually with these things there is some semblance of logic, but this is utterly ridiculous. It's almost like they're just making shit up as they go along and hoping nobody notices. Smart price Jake Gyllenhaal isn't a terrible replacement for Hanks, capturing just the right amount of woodenness and contempt for the material.
Needless to say I'm rather enjoying it.

Chucky Series. Watched the first episode and everyone is horrible so I'm hoping Chucky goes on a massive killing spree.

American Crime Story Impeachment is getting good but everyone having plasticine noses and chins is still gives a weird uncanny valley feel to the show. I think Colin Hanks might be playing the only important character to keep his real face.
No one looks as weird as Travolta in the OJ season yet though.

Doing Midnight Mass. Annoyed with myself that I clocked what was happening episode 1 as soon as I saw the doctor's mum.
On episode 4 now. It's good but I'm bit gutted I can readily spot where things are going.

Yes! It's good. A few have mentioned it in the MCU and D+ threads.

Anyone started watching Hawkeye yet? Just watched the first episode. For me, it's the best series they've done by a long way... So far. Made me laugh, had good action and I almost got tearful (I'm tired). Both me and my wife felt we'd been watching a film when the first episode finished. Really enjoyed it.

Waiting for the last episode to drop, but I have enjoyed the Chucky series. Chucky is foul mouthed, the people are all cunts so deserve to die and it all seems to be wrapping up nicely in the final episode.

3 is such a weirdly horny and bad episode of the X-Files, especially off the back of something as important as the Duane Barry double bill.
