Been thinking about something similar, my top front teeth don't match my bottom front teeth, so biting some tough foods can be a right pain in the arse.
I usually think about getting it done when I'm half way through a bacon bagel and I've unwittingly pulled out all the bacon. Stupid teeth.

We’re all down with covid at the moment. My boss says stay off for as long as necessary and don’t even consider it this week.
My wife’s boss has said as long as she isn’t too sick to work then she should go back asap regardless of positive test results.
I hadn’t realised we were in full fuck it mode now, I’d just assumed we were staying home with positives and pretending as a nation that no one gets it anymore.

I've just tested positive this morning and it's just 5 days and you're back at work whatever the test result is/how're you're feeling after that.

Well shit
I’m not fit to work as it happens but I don’t think I’d feel right going in and infecting everyone else if I was in decent condition

Employer depending, working from home until you feel better/less symptomatic is probably the right approach. But not everyone has that luxury and it's at the point that if you have things booked etc, you either go or lose your cash.

How daft is it that you can't register a positive covid test if the kit you got wasn't free from the NHS? At least that's what the gov website told me and my Chinese pharma kit had no barcode or strip ID. Seems a bit short sighted but I guess they're past being bothered about that now.

Got my first cold in bloody ages that hasn't been COVID, but still feels a lot like the last time I had a minor bout of it. Phlegmy, achey and a sore throat.
Should probably order a few test kits given its on the rise again, not that anybody seems to give a shit any more.

Ultimately it's just a case of avoiding people (esp the vulnerable and elderly) if you can but otherwise crack on.

My work had loads of kits then decided it wouldn’t be giving them out for free anymore so instead of just working through the existing stock they sent it all back.
Still a hard positive line on my 5th day. I’ve not taken any in between but there’s no change since the original. Feel like I’ve been hit by a bad bout of real flu but nothing debilitating.
Wife is saying she’ll be going back to work tomorrow. I’m going to spent so much time on the Playstation.

I had covid about 3/4 weeks ago (first time), was really rough with it too. Tested clear a couple of days in a row about 2 weeks ago but still feeling off.
Still coughing loads and still feeling not quite right, and a little bit shivery. Taste and smell still pretty much non existent too.
How long can the after effects last? Never had a cold/flu that lasts this long before.

My first bout of COVID was the first December it was around, so, not far off two years ago now?
My sense of taste has still not properly returned.
Plus, I seem to get a lot more tired these days. Exhausted quite often. Maybe that’s just age, though? Fifty one.

Sleep is all over the place at the moment. Waking up at 4am or so most days, very frustrating. Couldn't get back to sleep, despite podcasting, which usually works. Gave up after 45 mins. Annoying.

Try the Alan sklar anthology on the calm app..can't sleep without it lol. Podcasts don't work for me as I get too interested.

I've got access to headspace, which I also like, especially the sleep sounds. I think half the problem is the alarm goes off at 6 anyway, so my mind just shrugs and says "you'll be awake shortly anyway, night as well get up". And it's not all bad, it's the only time I get to myself, but does mean I am shattered by 9ish.

Ugh, fucking hell. I've woken up today with food poisoning.
Christ almighty, I don't remember food poisoning being that bad? Bad headache, really fatigued, abdominal cramps, shivering, can't stand up for too long or the cramps go mad, full on diarrhea.
It's bloody painful at times well.
Just in time for the weekend. Nice.

Cheers. If I could just stay away from the toilet for 20 minutes, that'd be a start. But these cramps, jesus

Welp, just had photopsias. It was like a lightning-shaped tear going from one corner of my vision until near the center. The inside was like a bunch of colored triangles slowly rotating. Lasted for about 10-15 minutes. Very trippy, but kinda scary.
For context, I've been dealing with a fairly bad cough for the last few days, and migraines have not been uncommon. My head kinda hurts now too (not the eyes, luckily). It was probably just that, so nothing too worrying, but still? Wish I could go to a doctor to get it checked. Unfortunately I have to leave the town and move back home next week, so getting an appointment right now would be a bit of a mess.
Whatever it was (and this cough as well), I sure hope I can last another seven days without any irrepairable damage.

It "sounds" like a migraine, (I get that sort of thing), but you can't be certain. Can you call a dr for advice? It's a bit of a mess right now. Let's just say this was the worst possible time for me to get sick. Anyway... if it was just this once, I'm not too worried. Not yet. There will be time for that eventually, I'm sure.

Wife has raised the subject of a more permanent solution to our contraceptive situation.
Anyone got any “friends” who’ve experienced it?

Yeah, it came up in another thread recently and quite a few here have had it done, or are thinking of it. Had mine done a couple of months ago, but they don't do a sperm count until 16 weeks IIRC.
I've been doing my bit to clean the pipes out in the meantime....

I had it done.
They said I’d have permanent ball ache, but luckily enough we split up last year.
I thankyew.
It’s alright, just remember it’s 18 weeks until you get to enjoy things properly so do be careful.

Blimey. As well as the 2 blood pressure tablets I take a day. I now have to add Statins... Anyone else here take them? Side effects?
For reference, my cholesterol level was 6.4, up from 6.2 six months ago (so much for my high fibre, cholesterol lowering diet!). Should be 5 or less.
