Some of you must be gutted when we score as it gets in the way of your moaning. Just let us moan, it’s not like they give us much to be happy about.

I dunno. I'm pretty happy with that result.
Could be worse, at least we're not Spurs.

You should be pretty delighted with that result, fuck the performance. This. And we didn't even play too poorly. The sort of game you get against the Kings of The Shithouse™.

No we were properly shit. So poor in possession, had several chances for effective breaks and just completely messed up possession every time

A lot of that was Bruno being too hyped up. He can get wound up far too easily and it will effect his whole game.

I don't really mind Bruno losing the ball. He's not who I'm talking about. He's so productive you have to take him losing the ball as part of what he does. He's usually losing it trying to play a positive pass.
To be completely clear: I love Bruno and the bit of stick he got earlier in the season was undeserved and ridiculous. The entire team was shit, he was still laying on more chances than anyone else even then.

He needs to calm down his passing a bit, he is too reckless with it and gets us in trouble a fair bit trying passes he shouldn't. I know you have to try them to create stuff but it's a bit too much.

Yeah I thought we were shit. They should have, and definitely could have put us to the sword. Yet they sat back for long periods of the match, and watched as we merely passed around the back four for what felt like an eternity.
In saying that, they still should have scored about 3 or 4 more with the chances they did have.
Will take it though. A chance to go through definitely. They are not a good side this season so we should be able to do it, despite making them look pretty good at times tonight.

They didn't really threaten much aside from the (phenomenal) goal. They immediately sat back.
Aside from the woodwork, did they create 3 other great chances?!

I was going to say I'll take the away goal all day long but that isn't even a thing anymore is it. Good result nevertheless.

Yeah, I don't mind him losing the ball trying things. But he can get too wound up and tries to do everything by himself. And because he's emotional he rushes a bit. He's my favourite player because he cares so much, but sometimes it will effect his performance. Easily our most important player.

Yep away goals gone. Removes a huge element of fear I feel, think it's going to make knockout stages less exciting by done distance

Good result for Utd that. A wee bit lucky but a good equaliser and Athletico seemed to run out of ideas by the end.

Yeah I love Bruno. And how he isn't afraid to have a go at teammates sometimes.
He does need to not always go down so easily though, as he doesn't get them half the time.

He has built a reputation as a diver now and it works against him when he is legitimately fouled. It's his own doing though.

I don't mind the passion and emotion, but he needs to control it sometimes and he really needs to stay on his feet when he isn't fouled, he's on the ground holding his "injured" bits far too often.

Yep. I put some of Leeds' second goal during the weekend down to him rolling around screaming and not just getting up and tracking back before letting VAR do the work later. He's got noticeably worse with that sort of thing this season.

So they’re trying to create a de facto Super League before Barca, Madrid and Juve get their shit back together

Ugh, that's shit. How can you have a league table when you don't even play every team at least once.

Assume seeding will dictate whom plays whom.

The '100 additional games' is the only takeaway you need from that release. That's exactly what it's all about. I'm sure they rightly know it makes total fucking nonsense of the competition.
That being said it removes the last shred of annoyance that I don't have BT Sport, as I've absolutely no interest in that.

That's fortunate then as we probably won't be featuring in it!

New format looks shit. Well this looks a right mess. Who decides which team plays which? How sure are we that the seeding process will give each team a balanced spread of opponents in terms of power, as was done with groups? (and if we're sure it will, how is it any different from groups in the first place...) From which league will the four additional teams come from? Is it possible for your home and away matches to be against different teams, example Liverpool only plays against Atletico at home, and has their away matches against five other teams? (obviously/hopefully not, but...)

Wow, that's genuinely awful. Are they and the ESL three having a shit idea off?

And most importantly, where the hell will those vaunted "100 additional matches" even fit in the calendar? It's bloated enough as it is (although admittedly the last couple of years were extra fucked thanks to Covid knocking everything around)
Just reeks of "We want ad monies" with even less regard for the players/fans than usual...
