Ok, now I'm sober, I have some questions
First off I read the spoilers so I know how to get to that chest near the great gate. So I'll do that next.
Ashes. What do I need to activate them again? Got wolf and jellyfish. And are they consumables or do I have them for good now?
Where are some souls?! It's a bit tight and everything costs so much!
Can I be invaded by players or do I have to activate summoning in order to be invaded?
Has anyone used a stoneward key in the tutorial area to unlock the imp by the bonfire? If so, what's in it?

I’m not sure I’m going to get that into this when I get about an hour a week to play. So far it’s good but I’m shit, am the one that fires magic bolts.

Also, I keep chugging healing instead of summoning my steed. Or summoning my speed instead of healing. Which is far worse!

Just buy it you loon. I know you're playing horizon but this is honestly not as brutal as the other souls games. The challenge is there alright, but now you can look at the options, shake your finger ash-from-evil-dead-style at the dodgy encounters and choose something else instead.
You actually have options now and can explore.
It's worth it just to see sophirals well, or however you spell it.

I died to Margit about 6 times today. Even with the NPC summon and a jellyfish, got him down to about 10% once, but couldn’t finish. So now I’m headed in another direction, trying to find something referenced in one of Kale’s clues.
I had a random question about the confessor. You start with your finger seal in your left hand, alternating with shield… that’s weird isn’t it? Don’t magic users in Souls games have their wand/chime/whatever in the right hand so they can cast and defend with a shield in the left? Or am I missing something

I'm so out of synch with the controls at the moment, I keep hitting ❎ to open something, rather than 🔼 and end up jumping up and down instead. Russell looks like a right loon doing that. I've also finally got back on this a little while ago, and have just now completed the tutorial area! Magic staff has laid waste to almost everything down here and short sword has been a nice backup to get up close and personal. Onwards! |

Margit kicked my ass. Got to about about 2 hits of killing him but my dodge timing is off.
Off to do a bit mor exploring before I go back to that.

It's nice that the character creator looks improved in this game, but do you turn into sentient beef jerky when you die here as in the Souls games? That always made creation pointless to me in the older games.

Russel looks FABULOUS, no doubt. In his Astrologer robes, of course 😀 Just died for the first time, probably not the best idea to take on big horsey guy just yet. I sought sanctuary in the ruined Chapel nearby and... that didn't stop him. Be seeing you again chump, when I'm powered up a bit more that is . The opening reveal of the outside world was lovely too, it reminded me of leaving the sewers in ES:IV Oblivion. |

I’ve been healing in combat plenty, and yeah I’ve switched it to my right hand for that reason.
Just starting to get a proper idea of the scope of this game- now that I’ve picked up a couple of quests from random people in the world. No quest markers, very rough directions, going to have to start a notes document and use the custom map markers before it gets overwhelming

Haven't found any chug upgrades yet As it to get more uses or each use more powerful? More uses are at little glowing trees and strength are in little churches. Currently I think on 8 uses at +6. |

I know Assassin's Creed Odyssey played with that too. "It's in a field south of a big Zeus statue" or something to that effect. I can imagine it being more vague in a From title. Reminds me of how back on the NES, people would draw out maps when they played RPGs. |
