How far did you get before noping the fuck out? After initally getting smashed by them, I ran through all the slow guys with the turkey faces scooping up all the loot on the way, and I'm now getting pummelled by either a giant crab or, if I get past that, some butch blue glowing dudes. I need to get better at shield counters! Those dudes are nails, although the whole area is pretty savage I've managed to drop down the cliff at the back of the castle. There are some awesome clockwork enemies that are wrecking me hard.
Also, some good news, Torrent doesn't care about poison swamps |

The only fight I haven't managed to beat so far is that scythe wielding fucker who invades in the big hall at the hub area. He is brutally aggressive and heals himself to boot. Ah is that an npc then? He also spelt my doom last thing last night |

What I like is, by including a horse, FROM have finally acknowledged the correct way to play their games is constantly run around in circles at high speed.

Was thinking of a Mystic Meg but bottled it as I quite fancied the female face it gave me 🙄 It’s bizarre how much effort the character creator can suck up given you then stare at the back of their head the whole game. I hope you at least called your character Derek, mothercruncher 😀 |

Considering dipping my toes into this. I've played a total of 10 minutes of Bloodborne and Dark Souls 1, and given up straight away due to difficulty. Have they made this easier or is it still a death simulator?

Surprised at the difference in load times between PS5 and XSX. 6-7 seconds on PS5 and 18-20 seconds on XSX according to DF. That is a lot more waiting about considering the amount of deaths that are likely to happen. That's quite annoying, I picked the wrong machine to buy it on. Sort it FROM, I don't do load screens any more! Not sure if you're serious, dear old monkman, but I've not seen a single Series X game that loads nearly as fast as PS5 games do. In Ghost of Tsushima, or Nioh 2, or Resident Evil, or Forbidden West, the load times are *literally* a couple of seconds. It's amazing. |

When you hold down Y, it will bring up your alt menu on the bottom left where you can have some quick items. At this point, if you press either the left or right shoulder buttons, you'll switch between 1H and 2H the respective weapons. |

For me, three hours or so in, this is easier than Bloodborne was at the start (which I found hard - that fucker in the graveyard I'll never forget), harder than DS (which I thought warmed up a little more nicely) but I'm only a few hours in and I've tended to find these games harder to begin with and they get easier as you level up (with occasionally brutal spikes). You can always farm to level and make things easier which is easier in this with it being more open. I think I'm finding it harder than Dark Souls because it's open and I'm going places I'm definitely not ready for. There is some incredible enemy design. Done a few mini bosses and they've been great fun. 16 year old zero responsibilities me would have adored this. |

UncleLou you're right, but the Series X is usually pretty close. And you don't need to reload as often in other games I've also partly put that down to the difference between first and third party games too to be fair. Halo Infinite was pretty swift.

I'm mostly speaking from DF comparisons, tbf.
I do think exclusives on PS5 load faster than Xbox exclusives, but there's not much difference for multiplats.
