I've not been able to even dent these big flaming basket pricks yet. The fact that I actually had to ignite one to get him to come alive and move out my way at one point was just stupidly cruel. Particularly when his brother woke up behind me. The stone things that slosh flaming hot magma about? They have a jewelled butthole you need to circle around to hit for massive damage . Turns out the have the lowest rune to pain in the arse ratio in the entire game so I just avoided them even after I worked out 'the trick' Thanks but I meant the REALLY big guys. They’re doing my head in. |

Yeah the map really is excellent. One area in particular has 2 routes through it that as far as I know almost never meet. My mind was blown when I found the other one. Really top notch stuff. I owe you a beer. Spear and greatshield is S tier op. Blows my mind I never knew this after all these years and countless hours. Done so many strength, dex, int and faith builds but never ever used spears. Seriously, you didn't know? I spent the 2/3rds of dark souls 1 turtling behind my grass crest shield poking enemies with the lightning spear  On the other hand, you probably learned how to play this game better than me, so you win some, you lose some  |

If there are vantage points nearby, chuck hefty pots in to their baskets. Simples. |

It’s accessed via a bum clenching run along the rafters of Shadow Keep exiting on the north side. You were talking about Wunty’s flail ; and that’s what I used on the boss to end him yesterday. He’s a bastard but after defeating him you can go and get the 5/6 fragments. |

I make the same mistakes but helping people for an ages today and most players roll away from the danger. It’s nearly always safer to roll into the incoming boss attack.

I think one of the dragon fights might be bugged. I can't lock on to anything apart from his head and it keeps causing the camera to have an absolute fit every time he does something. I'm sure it worked properly first attempt but since then it just won't do it.

Oh, cool. I’ve somehow aggroed Freyja which I assume has just screwed me out of several quest lines. I lost a whole quest line because one of those fire giant things kicked lava from a mile away and it killed the npc. Great I spent hours today helping people on the last boss. I think I know every single move now. Still we were only successful about 7-8 times because the hosts always get obliterated on phase 2. A few times host have done nothing and watched. I solo it to about 15% health but got staggered and died. I messaged them after suggesting just maybe if they joined in once we would have done it. Apparently he didn’t because the last summon he had sent him abuse for dying. Bit random for a summon to be angry with the host. |

Yeah, he does and I didn’t know what was happening for too much of the fight.
If you have the Flamedrake Talisman +2/+3, I thought it really helped in reducing (fire) damage.

My winning tactic was to blast through the first stage as quickly as possible and then let the mimic tear tank pretty much the entire second phase.
I’m still +9 which seemed kind of underlevelled, so I was close to sacking it off to grind some fragments. Amazingly, I did actually kill him on a ‘just one more try’ try but I definitely won’t be posting the fight up on YouTube.

Camera lock on was not designed for the 2nd phase. At all. The snakes just completely screw the lock on. Anything screws the lock on, tbh, but this dickhead has it down to an art form. |
