40 vigor is a bare minimum in this game, and 50 for late game. The way stats contribute to damage etc makes pumping your damage stats beyond what you need to wield your weapon pointless early on as scaling is pretty weak, and you get way more return per point from vigor than other stats.
Given how hard stuff hits in this game and how frame trappy and long enemy attack strings are vig is by far the most valuable stat. I go glass cannon in every other souls game but fuck that in this one.

Think I'm about 8 hours in and ngl I'm underwhelmed so far. I really hoped for something to change up things a little, like previous DLCs did, something to set it apart from the main game in some way. But so far it's added absolutely nothing to the mix and it's just the main game but worse.

Rellana is a brilliant boss fight, but her health pool with two summons is insane. She's easier solo I reckon.

You probably know this, but you can stealth around him and progress without engaging. He's part of a growing list of bosses / mini-bosses that I've put in the too difficult box |

In the end fire incantations did him in, blasting then hot-footing it back to the area I'd come from (towards the lost grace) - he retreats after a while. Then you can let him have it. Cheesing? Yes but so what? I'll use any tactic to bring the fuckers down. |

Anyone come across a boss fog gate that you can’t enter. Outside area, like an entrance to a small castle. I want in! Can’t see anything obvious around and the messages and the floor are all crap.

Yeah, that's why I've played almost nothing but ER in the last half year, except for the DS trilogy. Granted, replaying it so much may make me particularly biased towards wanting something to shake things up instead of more of the same. |

She's fucking awful solo, her attacks are ridiculously frame trappy and will hit you even if you dodge them because of how the combo strings are timed, she is impossible to flinch and still has a buttload of health. Both remembrance bosses so far have been F tier for me. I've had to just stagger spam both to get past solo. |

The results are in - I’ve taken a chunk off the ball part of the ball-and-socket shoulder joint. The doctor said it was a very unusual fracture to get, so bonus points for novelty I guess. I’m in a sling, and they said to wear it as much as possible but I can still take it off while I’m sitting down. And my hand still works fine so… game on I guess!
