I thought there was a new inventory system where it shows new items, highlighted with a gold mark? I picked up a weapon but can't seem to find it. Same thing happened to me! Not sure what's going on there, I was assuming it was me being stupid but maybe not.

You can turn it on it in the settings I think. I stumbled across it when I was looking for something last night.

You have to enable the new inventory features in settings.
I spent ages trying to kill the first evergaol boss, I just don't do enough damage. Got him down to about half health but he can almost one shot me.
A couple of times I got summoned to help fight him, 3 man gank squads and we couldn't do it (got super close once). We could literally stun lock him with magic, constantly apply scarlet rot, and eventually he would get a hit in and bosh!

Western nameless mausoleum boss near the start of the dlc was spicy! Had to summon in the end and although still hard was manageable as you can back stab without too much trouble and you get its full armour set and weapon that look cool.

Just realised I deleted my save file before I transfered to ps5. Don't have the conviction to do another run to play this. Very frustrating.

Played about 45 mins and I’ve found one of each of the dlc upgrades just from mooching around and exploring. So far I’ve been avoiding the obvious main path.
Lvl 155 with one attack upgrade and so far every thing hits hard but perfectly normal difficulty expect that above mentioned boss that I summoned for.

Magic seems fine, nothing is crazy resistant so far which is nice.

Hmph. As expected my bloody YT feed is full of thumbnails and referencies to areas, armour, weapons, bosses etc.
Trying to go in blind to something in this day and age isn't bloody easy is it.
Anyway I popped it on for a minute this morning just to make sure Barry could get in. He's standing like a lemon beside the big egg before I realise that it hasn't actually yet downloaded the DLC. D'oh. Downloading now. Should be good for later tonight. Me and the boy are both going in at the same time. Should be fun.

I was trying to work out what the easiest way to level up and steam roll the game the other day. I’d probably shoot straight up to the spawning ghost giant and mates that fight with the knights on the east side of the lake of Lurnia. Think it’s bets just over a thousand souls for a few minutes of watching the action play out. Could probably easy ally level up to 50 odd quite quickly.

I use the dogs, crow and knights near the bridge to Redmane Castle, kill the static dragon, then kill Godrick (once I feel tough enough) to unlock Mohg's crow.

I gather you need to have killed Radahn, which means rushing Leyndell Plateau. Varre's quest line for access to Mohg, which also lets you farm souls. If you summon to beat the bosses, you get a decent amount of runes in the DLC, but it'll definitely be hard.
None of this matters though, as I am a CONSCIENTIOUS EMPLOYEE who PRIORITISES WORK.
Also, that is an outstanding map dude, thanks for that. Finally I know where to go!

Which one is quicker Varre's questline or the secret entrance in the consecrated snowfield?

Varre's, by a country mile

Yeah otherwise it's mountaintop of the giants and commander fuckface to get the other half of the medallion to reach the snowfields.

Ha, I just bruteforced my way through to the consecrated snowfield. Tbh it wasn't that bad as I just ran past so many things because you know what you're doing and it reminded me how to play the game again.

Just beat a main story boss that was in the trailer. Not sure if I did something but there was a npc summon and my mimic. Did it first time but sod trying it solo after it hit half health. Relentless doesn’t quite cover it.

Dude. One of the worst things in Elden Ring are those stupid NPC fights. The only good thing about them is that they usually don't have a lot of health. Barely started exploring the DLC and there's a tanky fucking NPC.
Found the first fog gate and my first boss fight in the DLC is... another tanky fucking NPC. Off to a great start /sigh

I wouldn't worry about that first gaol boss or whatever he's called, I think he's more for when you get more fragments and power up a bit.

There is definitely a habit in these games - that I think From are actually trying to break people out of - of throwing yourself headfirst at a brick wall when you can literally just walk away. I just kept going at him when there's no point. I'm sure with enough patience and concentration I could do it (maybe), but why bother when there's so much more to see?

It took a while, but I did beat that guy. I switched over to a medium shield and baited out attacks I knew I could parry - even then it still took a number of tries to get it right!

Quickly jumped on for about 20 minutes or so. 2 points:
1. Is it just me or does it look graphically a bit sharper and better looking
2. Holy shit some of the damage output of enemies is ridiculous. Vigor 66 and two hits from a ridiculous spinning dude took well over a third of my health. Great.
