That trailer, wow.
I bounced of OG Demon's Souls back in the day and more recently Dark Souls 3 when I tried to have a crack at that. But I really want to get into these games and the world building in this looks soooo good. Ugh. Part of me is tempted to get it full price just so I don't give up because I've actually paid 40 quid for it, rather than just accumulating it in a bundle or something... Nrghh

Anyway, I was 99% certain that I was gonna go Wretch and just suck it up, but Samurai looks awesome, I am ever so slightly tempted.
Also Confessor looks cool - the only streamer from the Red Bull event who had a good showing was an Italian fella called Sabako who was playing Confessor.
I'm pretty sure every class will be a good time.

What classes/ builds are you fine peeps going for? I haven't given a proper look to all the classes yet as I want to go in as spoiler-free as possible (he says, having played the network test...) but I'll probably try for a balanced swords and sorcery type build to start, like the Enchanted Knight in the test. So Dex/Int for damage and the essentials besides. Of course, if something else catches my eye, I'm not above dropping all of that and just going Samurai or something... Here's hoping for easy respeccing š

Hero for me. Apparently arcade is discovery and magic resistance. So all in strength and arcade for first fun run. Bandit could be more fun now though with stealth elements used quite a bit.

I probably go Warrior or Vagabond. I normally do my first run as a sword and shield as I just prefer playing that way. I like that they have made the classes more defined, they're almost like pre-defined characters . It is probably no different than other souls games but the way they are presented is nice. I probably be more inclined to try them all at some point.

Starting gifts are always tricky. You can normally get all the items later on anyway, but it's trying to work out what does what and when/where.

The idea of starting of as a Wretch sounds quite appealing, as it seems the perfect version of Souls for it to be quite fun, especially on a first play through where everything is new.

If thereās a key in the starting gifts Iāll probably choose that. I donāt like locked doors unless theyāre the ones that open from the other side for a shortcut back.

No idea what starting gift to go for either. I do hope there is a ring or something for FP regen.
There is a youtube video explaining why you should go for wretch for the first play through. While I kinda agree you can only have that survival beggers cant be choosers experience once, it only lasts for about 2-5 hours ( I did it on dark souls 3 and found the dark axe and stuck with that for a while and a early armor set). You will naturally dump stats in sttenght, intel or dex so unless you go quality build you will never switch a lot to other type of weapons.
Think I will go wretch, warrior or confessor.
