I know you can't do this on PlayStation but the two digital games I've got on series X have been close to £40 via shopto codes. Think elden ring is £42 digital there.

Last time I preordered a FROM game on Playstation I ended up buying the digital version anyway cos my Bloodborne steelbook LE didn't turn up on release day. On the plus side I still have my sealed steelbook and have downloaded my digital copy to my new PS5

Until I bought the series X I was very much a physical media person. Still purchased blu rays, CDs and games. For a year now I've pretty much not purchased anything physical. Games game pass, music Spotify and movies I've bought digitally as well.

As much as I like the disc version of the PS5, I do genuinely only buy about 3 disc games a year, so it's not like I'd use it a lot. I just like the option once in a while. My internets is better these days as well mind you so it's more viable just to download.
Discs do still make me feel I "own" something mind you, which is why i was still tempted to go disc for Elden Ring but, meh. This way me and the boy can both download it.

I sometimes have to stay up and monitor overnight “releases” to production as part of my job. I’m thinking there’s going to be an impromptu release on Thursday night, so I have an excuse to go to bed early and set an alarm for midnight like I normally do…

I hardly buy any games nowadays so I’m trying to get hold of the digital ps5. Can’t be fucked with ordering and changing discs anymore!
I got £50 credit for £45 which isn’t bad for a new release.

That's decent Rob. Shopto had a wee sale a few weeks back so I actually got my Elden Ringo for £41. £45 still very good though.

I pre ordered the digital version. If I play this as much as I have all the other soulsbourne games then £49.99 is still great value. I’ve put hundreds of hours into each game so I can’t see this being any different.

Ordered myself some official Xbox wireless headphones as a treat for this.. apparently they are amazing and have Dolby Atmos etc. For the price I'm also expecting to get bigger boobs. Nice cans! The headphones. 👀 Do the official Xbox ones come with a code for Dolby Atmos/DTS:X or is it just that they're capable? Cause I think any pair of headphones is compatible, but you usually need to pay for the license through Xbox. There's a pair by like Nacon Plantronics or some shit, the RIGS something, that actually come with a code, but they look terrible. Okay so it's £14 for the Atmos license. You download the Dolby app then it sets up your headphones. I've got a seven day trial. Haven't noticed a huge difference in cyberpunk and that's one of the Atmos boosted games listed.. |

Yeah, the Windows Spatial or whatever is pretty good by itself. I actually did buy the Atmos license last time it was on sale, so I'm good to go. I was just curious if the official ones came with a license since it's a big advertised feature for the Series X (vs PS5's proprietary 3D Tempest whatever). Thanks for clarifying though! bichii |

I had heard about this, but not confirmed, but they just said that equip load will be tied to endurance. Not sure it will affect me, but a bit of a shame.

Hmm, bold choice, the first streamer has no fucking idea what he's doing. Hasn't looked at any of the tutorial messages, asking chat how to sprint, I don't think he knows how to lock on.
I'm surprised he hasn't had any guidance from Bamco.
I'll stop making new posts just to point out how bad these streamers are. I'm sure it's a complex game, and both streamers so far have not had English as a first language so perhaps the instructions aren't clear on the rare occasion that they look at them. That said... fucking hell.
I wish they'd let Aoife play, I'm certain she'd do a better job.

I caved and watched a video, very excited now! No spoilers, but suffice to say it looks like it could be a brilliant culmination of what they’ve perfected in the other Soulsborne games. Friday can’t come soon enough!

If I buy at launch its always physical. See no reason to get digital when my brothers can borrow the game in the future.
Basicly, having 2 gaming brothers with the same machines means that digit really loses its appeal. Especially since I split the costs most of the time.
I also don't care about playing on launch day that much. I have had only one bad experience with Dark Souls 3 where the game arrived 2 weeks later.
