Not really - you got what you were given.
I was just thankful it wasn't from the local authority/education board as it was a few years prior.
Still have nightmares about that coat and those shoes.
Edit - thinking back I remember having an input on trainers and possibly jackets but that's about it.

I'm not sure when I started buying my own underwear, but it was likely after 15/16. Probably when I went to uni tbh.
I think I had been choosing, if not buying, outer clothes by then.

I’ve been adjusting my sleep to match my partner’s current shift pattern. So I’m up at 4am and in bed by 8pm. It’s weird. Especially as I work a 9 - 5 job and don’t even get home until 6:30ish.
