My other half is always convinced the cravendale has gone off 3 days into using a fresh bottle, even though it lasts a week. Then says I have a terrible sense of smell when I say it smells fine. And yet she hasn't quite squared that covid has fucked her sense of smell when it caused her to lose it for 3 months straight.

Cravendale? Fancy.

Plus, just giving the bottle a sniff doesn't mean much. Sometimes it's dried milk at the top that snells off but the actual milk is fine. Not that it lasts that long with a 14 year old boy in the house.

An off smell is the last thing to worry about when slurping down the extract of a hundred different cows mammary glands

Generally these days milk has no bloody chance of going off in this place but if luck should have it the pleasure that can be achieved in getting one of your kids to taste/smell milk that's gone off is priceless, we've finally (sadly) not long stopped buying whole milk.

Anyone else find that every so often their deodorant/antiperspirant of choice just stops working and you have to switch to a new product?
Its like I’ve got Borg BO and its adapting to attempts to defeat it.
Plus when it fails it fails hard and the smell isn’t regular sweat but a real acrid mix of sweat and a sort of bitter twist on whatever the worn fragrance had been.
Doesn’t seem to matter whether its spray, roll-on, stick, big brand or some organic hippy alternative either. One day, usually at work, I’ll discover that by lunchtime I’m starting to honk. Then you’re into risking panic sweat territory as the fear of gassing out the open plan office could lead to further issues.
Just asking for a friend, obviously.

I was watching some shit video the other day (a surprise, I know), some recipe shit or other and cow juice was described as "white milk" as if that was the flavour as opposed to chocolate or strawberry.

simple I used Right Guard for years after having tried various different brands over the years (decades) to find one that worked for me, then after Covid and the prices of everything went completely nuts I tried Lidl's £1 stuff, to my surprise it works just fine.

Anyone got a recommendation for somewhere to park in Manchester for the day where I can get a tram into town? Don't mind paying, needs room for a big car. Coming from M6 direction. Any ideas...? clemfandango @drakesmoke

Dale Street is outside if you don't want an indoor car pack or multistorey. Otherwise you could park in Didsbury or Chorlton and jump on a tram.

quadfather Just the day. Can't stay over cos of the dog. So basically sounds like either of the NCPs in town is just as good a bet as any then.

simple I've been going through this recently too. Moved away from traditional sprays years ago and was using Biosen (which is a roll-on that's good for sensitive skin but like most roll-ons uses aluminium to block sweat). I switched to Fussy for a while and it worked for a good few months until it just didn't. I then moved to that fancy AKT deodorant balm which smells FUCKING AMAZING, but because it's not intended to block sweat completely I smelt great but still was damp on occasions, to the point where I was getting big patches under my arms (which isn't terrible when at home) but looks terrible even though I remained smelling GREAT At the moment I'm using Vichy Stress Relief (https://www.vichy.co.uk/en_GB/stress-resist-72hr-roll-on-anti-perspirant-deodorant/VICUK-046.html#tab=ingredients), it's about £10 in Boots and apart from being quite wet when first put on it dries fairly quickly and then once clothes are on I have been remaining dry and smelling quite nice. It does have aluminium salts in the ingredients though, so not great in that regard, but I would rather be dry then use all natural products which smell good but leave me like a damp rag So I'm torn, do I smell good but have patches (nope), smell good and use traditional roll-ons and clog my pores with aluminium and other things, or keep trying different things? There are so many different products out there, and it seems like a real trial and error.

I sweat like an absolute beast, so I double up- PitRok crystal straight out of the bath/shower, then (recently) Mitchum antiperspirant. I don't know if they work in perfect harmony or are cancelling out in some way, but it works for me. Either are pretty good on their own tbh but I enjoy the added security excessive protection brings
If I'm looking to attract a female, I'll have a quick workout and then venture out onto the plains with my natural musk. But sometimes you just want to be left alone to get on with your day

Any ideas...? clemfandango @drakesmoke I’m shite with directions and city knowledge sorry, but we are to the north of Manchester. You’d be welcome to park on our bit and you can then bus or train it in from Mills Hill but you’d be crossing the entire width of the city to get here only to go back on yourself. We don’t really do South Manchester for anything sorry so I’m clueless - also a bit of a hermit. Mrs is a little more clued up and has suggested Wythenshawe or better yet the Trafford Centre. Obviously check the parking regs at the Traf and maybe buy a pack of chewing gum to cover yourself 😂. She did observe a bunch of United fans using it for parking for the match, so I presume you can get away with it. We’ve been considering it ourselves for matches if we can ever get tickets.

@drakesmoke same here. Most of what I know of south of the centre is from when I was drunk tbh.
I'm going to either do Sale or one of the NCPs in the centre. I'll decide on Monday.
It's a long old trip for lunch 😂
