I've watched tons of WW2 stuff, it's quite interesting, for me The World at War is by far still the best/most comprehensive documentary series though some of the content is not 100% accurate but it was made fairly soon after the end so it was bound to be a bit skewed. The BBC documentary series Nazis: A Warning From History is also excellent.

Anyone done a 'Hunted' activity for a stag do/team building/corporate day? I've got a stag do next year in the Peak District and I'm trying to get an activity sorted to break up the drinking. I'll hunt you for nothing. Just need to find my crossbow.
Apart from that no but it looks pretty good fun if you can get all the moaning sods to agree to it.

We're split into teams (or sort them ourselves) and try and hide/do missions to earn points in a 3 mile area for a few hours while staff hunt and try to catch us. If caught you lose a ton of points but can still carry on. |

There’s a place in hope valley that does clay pigeon shooting and caters for stag parties. It’s an absolutely beautiful setting, would recommend.

Is there anything more satisfying than killing the mosquito that bit you? There’s the thrill of finding the fucker, getting the electric tennis racket out, seeing the blood after you squish it with some tissue. On a related note, I’m ready for summer to be over.

I couldn't help but notice an annoying fly buzz around the garage for 20 minutes or so today, then it went quiet and I saw it had flown into a spiders web (actually more of a few strands of silk struck up between window frames than a proper web) it kind of buzzed a bit clearly in distress then a teeny weeny spider probably about 1/10 of it's weight crawled out from the window frame and went over to it to wrap it up a bit in more web I guess, then it went away, at this point I was of two minds, rescue the fly or allow nature to run it's course, the fly continued to buzz a bit clearly in distress then after about 10 minutes the fly finally stopped moving at which point Mr spider promptly popped out again and diligently lugged the fly off to her den out of sight. Thew whole process took about 40mins, I've never seen that before.

Flaky pastry irks me no end, although I'll make an exception for a Greggs sausage roll.
If I can eat it in one bite - preferably without looking like an abject slob - that's fine, so baklava is safe by default.
Shortcrust on everything pie-related.

My superpower is a heightened ability to smell when food has gone bad.
My wife, who has a great sense of smell is perplexed by this. Indeed, this evening I got a long off some cabbage, and didn't eat it.
She didn't smell anything, and ate it. Later she said she now found a smell from it.
Was there a smell? Or did I just plant the idea there was.
