I generally dislike travelling as I get too anxious about timings and missing trains, flights etc, but once I'm on the plane I love it.
I'm one of those annoying people that has to be at the airport hours early, whilst my wife is time blind and cannot ever be on time. So flying together is rarely fun (until we're on the plane).
One of my best experiences is a helicopter flight into the grand canyon, that was amazing, there's just something about flight that even my massive fear of heights cannot spoil. (Unlike my trip to the top of the Empire State Building where I had a panic attack).

Oh! I had one of those, amazing. It was us and two huge americans who the pilot made sit in the back seats to even the load up. Pilot was literally called Chad and wore aviators.

I couldn't afford a flight at the grand canyon, so I walked down to the bottom, which was great.
Then i had to walk back out again, which was less great.

I developed a bit of a fear of flying after 9/11. Never really let it stop me from getting on planes when I needed/wanted to, but there was definitely a fair bit of self-medicating involved each time!
Eventually I just sort of forgot about it, I guess.

I think I might’ve played a perfect dad bank holiday day today.
Watched the parade at the local carnival with an ice cream then back home to Cuprinol the shed while listening to the cup final on the radio.
Took all our glass recycling to the village bottlebank too. By wheelbarrow.

I’ve stayed at quite a lot of AirBnBs since we had kids. Almost every single one has curtains that do almost nothing to block the light.
Do most people just sleep in rooms that are really light at 5am in the summer? I want proper darkness.

So maybe three months ago or something I posted about spilling a drink and it pouring down the back of the desk, ultimately shorting out a monitor power supply and the whole house losing power, the next day however it seemed OK. Fast forward to tonight and a 'random' power cut has occurred and seemingly the same monitor appears to have died, I guess it was on borrowed time, that said I am grateful it is that and not something unknown requiring an electrician so small mercy's. Gonna have to faff about again on Marketplace etc and try and find another matching Acer monitor to match my other one again though.
