Hand on heart I wasn’t being a twat I was just confused at this hour on a Sunday morning.
On the subject of TV habits; my wife insists on watching series to the very end, even if they go to shit. I, on the other hand, am happy to give something up if it’s rubbish. There’s too much content these days to waste time on bobbins. I don’t know if that makes me a monster or not.

My mrs is the opposite. It takes *forever* to watch a show with her because she puts weird, arbitrary conditions on it.
‘Shall we finish off this series of Jeff Thundertrumper?’ ‘No, it’s more of a second Tuesday after the vernal equinox kind of show. Let’s watch Friends’
Which then leads to the inevitable
‘Ok, let’s watch Jeff Thundertrumper’ ‘I finished that six months ago’ ‘HOW COULD YOU WATCH IT WITHOUT ME?!’

I concur with Hicksy. There are so many things to watch and do, why waste precious time watching something you don't enjoy.

Yeah, even if a show has just lost a bit of the spark but is still watchable we'll consider dropping it. (Mr. Mercedes comes to mind)
If there's a noticeable drop in quality and we're just not enjoying it, it'll get shit canned pretty damn quickly.

Agree. Same with books, music etc. Life's too short.

My wife hates quitting a show even if it’s shit, luckily I suggest the shows 90% of the time so we mostly watch stuff that’s good from start to finish.
Last time she picked was one of those Harlem Corben shows which was a bit shit but at least it wasn’t several seasons long. If it’s a show that wasn’t great for the previous season I won’t mention there’s more out, she doesn’t bother finding out.

It’s on my list but haven’t got round to it. With the equinox coming up I need something to watch

It depends how good something is. On the rare occasion something clicks with me I'll watch 2-3 hours an evening on consecutive nights. Very rarely watch anything more than that.
Find many things a bit dull though and I'll just forget to watch, and I've no qualms about abandoning series if it's not working for me. I'll even stop mid episode.
I do need to be in the right sort of mood to watch things though, I have a list of things to watch on my backlog but don't really feel like watching any of them.

Seasons 1 through 7 of Jeffrey Thundertrumper are a real slog, but it does pick up midway through season 8 for about 10 episodes. But you do need to be have seen all the seasons up until then to really get it.

The spin offs are great if you view them on a Tuesday morning.

It got to the point where we felt like we'd missed too much by not watching the rest of the shows in the expanded Pumpverse. Just had to drop it despite loving the main show.

My kids insist on binging shows to the point that i end up hating shows that i previously thought were ok. Currently it's Ninjago.
When i was younger I always watched everything until the end, even if it wasn't good. But sometime in the past 10 years the combination streaming, everything being available and less free time has made me start dumping things if they don't keep my attention.
I also have a bad habit of putting off the final season of things that i really like, cos i don't want them to end. Then i put them off so long i forget about them.

I envy that kids today get to see shows in their entirety. Think about the cartoons that we saw that were almost always shown out of order and almost always cancelled after the first initial run.

Ahh, the good old days when I actually woke up early on Saturdays to watch Pokemon and it was always the same 3-4 seasons with episodes running with barely any semblance of order

I mean, not only didn't I know that they'd hacked up the original anime and inserted an annoying droid when they 'made' Battle of the Planets, I didn't even know it wasn't american.

I think I would pay any establishment, even work, to play this as I entered the building.
And yes I can imagine having all the sex with real ladies to this theme. Allllll the sex. In their vaginas.

Ay caramba. We're in Mallorca, and seem to have landed in a very germanic area.
It's quite interesting, I thought brits abroad could be a shit show, but wow. Loads wearing the same outfits like some might on a stag do or hen night, and a 'beer captain' armband appears to be de rigeur.
It's an eye opener for sure!

On the plus side, you can spot them a mile away. Into palma proper tomorrow, to hopefully hear more Spanish.

The vast majority are sunburnt & shitfaced, so I don't think I am in too much danger of any bother.
It's plainly been a looong day for a lot of them. 🤣

Before your holiday's over, you'll find yourself drunkenly peeling off your 'beer captain' armband, marvelling at the contrast between the lobster-red skin on either side of it and the pale whiteness beneath; then, just as you drift into an Estrella-induced stupor, you'll think, "Aw, shit - I set myself up for this one!" Enjoy
