Ive just finished Severance season 1. The initial premise didn't really grab me but the wierd confusion and psychological foreboding that seems ever present accompanied by the theme tune throughout ep1 had me hooked. It just keeps building and building to that ending reveal episode ... and there's only 1 season. FFS!
That's Foundation, Silo and now Severance, a solid 3 for 3 from atv. I have monarch downloaded and 2 seasons of slow horses queued up.

Don't sleep on The Servant, it's good fun. And episodes only being 30 mins means you can fly through it.

First two episodes of the third season of Slow Horses dropped today, still superb stuff. The person complaining about the homeless man in the clinic has my sympathies, the costume department does an excellent job of portraying how bad Jackson Lamb must smell I'm amazed Gary Oldman probably doesn't. Lamb having a wash seems like the most futile thing ever in the second episode given he just puts the same clothes on.

Tehran (S1/S2)
Just finished the nail biting finish to S2. Really enjoyed both seasons, looks great, cast is superb especially Shaun Toub. Which reminds me, I must see where I was up to on Homeland, which is obviously more of the same.
Running out of Apple+ shows, I think Black Bird next.
8/10

I'm still waiting patiently for Slow Horses S2, For All Mankind S4 and the Godzilla thing to finish before we start them. Very much looking forward to each but can't be waiting a week or more between episodes these days.

Slow Horses season 2 finished a year ago. Fair, unfortunately I meant series three.

The episode ended with the 90 year old astronaut and the Helios owner, right? Or did I miss a scene?

You missed the part of the scene were Dev said that he's going to steal the asteroid from the M7 for Mars? It's heist time! Ed is 72 at this point as well, not that you could really tell, maybe the Martian lower gravity helps...

Slow Horses has been officially renewed for a fifth season before the fourth one has aired. This is very good.

Apple TV really are fans of science fiction, I'm rather glad of that as this looks rather good.

No trailer for it yet, but apparently Dark Matter wrapped a while ago so a release date/trailer is surely imminent (no, not that dark matter!)
Great little book and the casting looks very solid (Joel Egerton, Jennifer Connelly and the McPoyle that lost an eye)

Apple sure do make it almost impossible to cancel AppleTV if you don't have an iPhone or iPad.

Login on the Apple TV website, go to account settings, then subscriptions and kill it there. I don't have any Apple devices, all my subs have been managed on my Windows PC.

Yeah, very much looking forward to that. Had passed me by, was only thinking the other day that a rewatch of Band of Brothers is due.

Finished Monarch a week or so back. I like that it fits so accurately to the movies, and essentially leads into the next one. I quite like the Godzilla/Kong films, despite the last one being hot garbage.

I said this in the review thread but if the budget was so tight that they could only afford to have 20 seconds of monster in an hour long monster show, there is plenty of fat they could cut to lower the episode count and double the screen time for Godzilla. Not massively fussed about learning the intricate details of Monarchs funding appropriation committees.
I know its called 'Monarch' and not 'Kaiju Battle Hour' but, come on.

I'm at a similar halfway point and I'm enjoying it too, it's a damn sight better than "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" was, that had loads of kaiju but fucking awful writing.

Some of it isn't *that* much better. I'm really not sure what making the main object of The Quest a bigamist brings to the party.
It sounds like I hate it more than I did, it's fine. I just don't think, after watching 4 (?) of these movies, anyone was left thinking 'Godzilla is fine but what I really want to know is how Monarch got started'. The central premise is just not very interesting (I say central it did thankfully start taking a back seat to the monterverse in the last two episodes).

I dislike being tricked into watching inter personal dramas by high concept shows.

I’d have preferred if they got rid of all the personal drama. There’s still enough there for the show without it and would have improved it.
I don’t care about random person with family issues. It’s supposed to be shit monarch/kaiju, not some guy getting married to two different people. It didn’t really seem to have much relevance to the plot other than dragging things out and some bickering.
