It was always a risk to give that to a company mainly known for ports and not massive rpgs. Could have been decent but equally not good at all.

Give it to Obsidian and let them do KOTOR2 as well. Or just skip the remakes and give Obsidian KotOR 3. I'd much rather play a new game.
Probably never going to get a new one while the MMO exists though.

Yeah I would much rather a new game. Going to replay the first on the switch. Super rough now I imagine but it's heart will be there.

There is actually scope for a KOTOR 3 to be made, as the time gap between the end of 2 and the opening of TOR is a period of over 300 years.

I'd laugh if it actually released as the most barebones effort imaginable and the credits just had those two people on it.
