Yeah, Order was surprisingly very good, although it suffered from coming out after Sekiro and had a similar combat style that lacked the From Software polish.
I would say quite a lot of the Star Wars games from the 90s and early 2000s were at least good, albeit many weren't great. To your list of very good ones, I would add Episode 1 Racer, Jedi Knight + expansion, Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy (unless you were including those when you say Dark Forces). I haven't played them, but I recall X-Wing Alliance and one of the Rogue Squadron sequels was meant to be good. Not much in the way of strategy, although I liked Galactic Battlegrounds, even if it was just a AoE2 reskin.

I liked the Jedi Order game but it has serious jank which the devs were very honest about especially as it appears that the budget wasn't exactly high. I still shudder at the Wookie 'fur'.

I think the 2nd is going to be a classic. Lay the groundwork for the first, hone and nail the sequel.

There were a lot of good Star Wars games back in the day, though some haven't aged very well.
It's been the last decade or so where EA? got the license and then basically did almost nothing with it. I guess we're in the era of big studios releasing 1-2 flagship service games a year though, so that plus 1 or 2 cancelled projects means there haven't been many. Squadrons being the nice exception.
X-Wing Tie Fighter - (one of the best games ever) XvT X Wing Alliance Dark Forces Jedi Knight - (one of the best games ever) Mysteries of the Sith - (one of the best games ever) KotoR 1 - great. KotoR 2 - might have been great if finished.
I thought Shadows of the Empire was great at the time, though it was probably rubbish.
Rogue Squadron - not great, but great fun Rogue Leader - not great, but great fun Episode 1 Racer - not great, but great fun
Not for me, but the Battlefronts and Galactic Battlegrounds were well received at the time. People rated Republic Commando at the time too.
Fallen Order Squadrons
I remember enjoying the Snes games, but never getting very far.

The Rogue Leader demo had me falling over myself to get a GameCube. Which also required buying a TV. Wound up with massive credit card debt. It was awesome though. I’ve on,y been disappointed by space flying games ever since.

I’m assuming you’re all realising just about all those games are around 20 years old. Yes they were great but that’s not a lot since the early 2000s.

I’m assuming you’re all realising just about all those games are around 20 years old. Yes they were great but that’s not a lot since the early 2000s. Well, yeah. As someone else said, the recent issue has been EA have done terribly with the licence. Jedi Order was great, but the Battlefronts were just good. The second one was blighted by massive microtransaction issues. The big time for Star Wars games was the 90s and that spilled over to the 2000s a bit, albeit the Prequels saw a move more and more to quantity over quality. There were still some good games (KOTOR2 was 2008), so 20 years with no good games isn't quite right, but definitely the 2010s wasn't particularly interesting. EA no longer have an exclusive licence and I understand there are quite a few games in the works now. Hopefully some of those will turn out to be good and I have high hopes for Jedi Order 2. Edit: Just double checked and EA had the exclusive licence since 2013, which explains why since the 2010s it has been a drought of good Star Wars games.

KOTOR 2 can’t have been 2008, shirley? That was after the 360 launched.

I played a decent Star Wars game recently. I think the Titanfall people made it. Can’t remember what it’s called, Force Jedi Metroid Prime Saber or something.

INDEFINITELY. The consensus is that it's going to be given to another developer.

Just imagine if it was handed to Bluepoint to finish... (well, most likely start from scratch)

Just imagine if it was handed to Bluepoint to finish... (well, most likely start from scratch) But then we'd get a game with amazing graphics that plays exactly like in 2003, whereas I'd like to have a more modernized game, even if it means slightly less amazing graphics.

I really quite liked the Force Unleashed. Still, not recent I suppose despite my memory saying it wasn't that long ago that I played it.

You think? They do have a lot of studios I wonder who's got the keys now. Hopefully a studio with some proper experience, I still can't believe it was given to Aspyr in the first place.

Disagree, EAs Battlefronts have been the best games of any Star Wars. It was such a long wait for any SW content on console but BF2 is a fairly impressive FPS at this point. Not played a Battlefield since they released them and personally am gutted they dropped BF3 while releasing more Fallen Order shite. Squadrons is a blast as well, sunk many of hours into both of them. Squadrons even levelled me up as a twitch streamer.

My abiding memory of Battlefront 2 was that there was no squad balancing - every time you'd have one side that was stacked and one where players left after twenty seconds.

Just because they're capable of releasing some barebones ports of the older games doesn't mean they're suited for a full blown remake. But I guess (?) Embracer didn't have a studio capable of handling it otherwise? It would be quite a bang to announce first project you put your newly acquired studio on is fuckin' Star Wars though. Maybe wishful thinking on my part. As for the EA stuff, Battlefront is the only series they put out I didn't like, but that's because I don't enjoy Battlefield either, and it's basically just that on Hoth. Jedi Fallen Order was excellent, and Squadrons was fun. So they were 50:50 with the license by my estimation.
