A lot of Salt Bae's customers are the usual UAE lot with more money than sense, or so much money they literally couldn't give a fuck they're paying that much to an internet meme who wraps their steaks in gold leaf.
That said, I would still enjoy the Salt Bae experience for the tacky novelty factor and have him throw food in the air for me to catch, as long as I wasn't paying the bill.

Unfortunately so. As my dog is a rescue and haven't had him grow up with me, I'm not sure how he'll react. Hopefully it will be fine, and to be fair it's a small village, so it's not constant.

For fucks sake. The BACS file I sent yesterday was rejected as it takes us a couple of grand over our limit. I now have to make over 100 manual payments to various suppliers using our banks shitty online service which won't let you make ad hoc payments with just the name/account no/sort code, no, you need to set up every beneficiary in advance with their full name and address. As if I haven't got enough to do today.

Ban pls. I think they are a great idea and could be a good alternative to people getting about locally and not driving for a mile. But, they are a danger to pedestrians on the pavement and to themselves on the roads. Need less roads for cars and more active travel infrastructure! Passed a teenager on one on the road last night, dark cloths, no lights. |

Inconsiderate pavement users. Big croup of fucking numpties congregating on a pavement beside a busy road. Big long straight stretch so you can clearly see for some distance either direction. I am jogging along, right up at the kerbside as it is. Half of them turn and see me whilst still some distance away. Big stream of cars beside me. Do any of them move? Even slightly to give me room? Do they fuck. Thick inconsiderate fucking cunts.

I usually move out of the way for joggers and if I'm passing people on a pavement with no room, my rule is generally the people facing the traffic should step into the road
People on bikes or scooters that expect you to move for them on the pavement are a bit annoying

Spoke to a recruiter today who got me a job in the past, because I want to move on from my current role.
He suggested I get a list together of jobs, and we have a call in the morning to discuss which ones he can approach on my behalf.
Why the fuck would I do that? Isn't that exactly what they are supposed to do and then get paid commission for?
Sure thing mate, I'll just do your job for you and you get a load of money for sending my CV to someone and having a quick phone call.
What a joke of a profession.

In the UK legally they can just assist pedalling, and only up to 15.5 mph. So they police should be stopping folk flying uphill at 25mph, but doubt they ever will. Vanmoof are teasing with pics/specs of their next bike, totally illegal without registration/insurance, but think they are just pushing it to see if they can get the laws adapted. They do have a legitimate place in getting car use down. |

Basically unless you are super specialised a recruiters job these days is just to keyword sift and dump a batch of cvs onto a desk. Long gone are the days when recruiters actually... recruited. Cv library, broadband etc have all put an end to that. These days it is the 60/10/3 type rule. Sift 60 cvs to pull out 10 with the right keywords to actually read. Of those 10 send 3 to company. All down to metrics and analytics now. There is no more one 2 one interaction unless you are sufficiently niche. |

Fuck me I would love a four day week, I do sacrifice 4 days of salary per year to top up my leave allowance which is not very noticeable financially but gives me a good chunk of extra time off. Also I stopped bringing my work phone home a few months so cannot get stressed about what shit storm might or might not be waiting for me the next day.

Recruitment agencies can fuck off. Had really shitty experiences with all but one, where I developed a decent relationship with a particular person. It really is a joke of a profession.
We've got some contractors in our office ATM, via a recruitment agency. They're a bit shit.

My old job used a decent one. Pretty much any of the top notch staff were brought in through him. He actually listened to requirements and sent solid CVs through. Of course they stopped using him when I had to take on recruitment...

Every new fucking ui that Microsoft etc bring out. Every single one is a step in loss of functionality and addition of gaps, wasted space and loss of utility.
Just look at the new outlook. All corners now rounded (looks shit, but ok.)
Quicklaunch moved below ribbon (wastes space)
A few mmm added between ribbon and the viewing panes. (Only a small loss of screen estate, but they all add up)
And worst of all no fucking borders anymore between everything. Just fucking subtle shading differences, especially between the folder pane and view panes which just blend into each other.
And don’t get me started again on the 2012? Update that removed the “go to last sheet” option in excel, fuck you you cunts. I used to use that every day and I still fucking hate having to ctrl-click the replacement button to do annoyingly in a more complicated way do something that was fine before.
Actually all contextual shit. Give me shortcuts and a menu system to navigate through muscle memory, fuck making everything dumbed down for the fat fingered iPad idiots.
