I'm not, got a nice thick head of hair. But this was one of my favourite threads at the other place. Always good for a chuckle! Have at it, egg heads.

I've a solar panel on the back of my head and the top is thinning to match. I'm a little annoyed about it but what can I do?
If it gets worse I'll just shave it off. Luckily for me I'm taller than the stath and have a wiry ginger beard (despite having dark brown hair.)
Shit if I shave it people will think I'm ginger.

I have a bald spot that is covered by my afro but you can see it if you really stare.

Yep, I'm 39 and thinning very badly on top, it's going quick. I've got a few old friends I haven't seen for 2+ years due to covid and I'm kinda dreading meeting up with them because of the grief I know I will get! And I dread looking at photos now, even just over a year or so ago it wasn't awful, but now it's very obvious from pretty much any angle, and I've got dark hair which makes it worse.
I wouldn't mind so much if I could grow a decent beard, but the best I can do is a goatee, it's too patchy around the jawline for a full beard. So my only other option now is to lose more weight and start putting muscle on and shave my head, then at least I won't be a fat bald guy. I think bald / shaved looks cool if you're fit / toned.

In the original thread, I was crowing at the start about my thick head of hair, and the fact that my Dad was still hairy at 65, I was going to be sorted.
Unfortunately I seem to take after my Mum, who has hair issues...
I think this will be my last decade of hair, my kids are suggesting I shave it all off.

Not yet, though it's definitely thinner. I've always had it long-ish, really want to get rid now but have to keep it for three weeks at least for the wedding.
However I have next to no body hair and can't grow a beard for the life of me. At 44.

I've been shaving my head for years, not because of balding, but because it's the laziest way. I say shaving, that's far too much work, what I actually do is run the clippers with no blade guard over my entire head and face, it's close enough, and as my hair grows so unbelievably slowly I can leave it for a week or so and it still looks like stubble.
Of course, being old and fat it's not a great look, and really the only thing missing for the full on "fat english c**t" look is a string vest.

Grow a beard and shave the head - it's the only sane way forward.

I've been going bald since I was twenty, and have been shaving my head (clippers, no guard) since then. I don't remember what having hair was like anymore. I do have a beard though.

It should be noticed that there's a difference between those without a full head of hair, and those who are bald either spiritually or politically. Or sometimes both.
The latter are obviously terrible people.

Chap at work shaved all his hair off, along with about 10 other guys on a stag do holiday, except his never grew back!

Same,39 and really getting there. Seems to have accelerated the last few months too. Stupid hair. I wouldn't be bothered but I have a feeling there's a slightly odd looking head under there..

Embraced the shaved head style almost 9 years ago, haven't looked back since. Why worrying about getting bald, and trying to look good, when you can shave everything and always look good.
And save on shampoo and barbershops.

47 here. My dad's head has been snooker-ball shiny for as long as I can remember so always knew I was destined for baldness. At least I kept my hair for a bit longer then my younger brother who started losing his hair in his early twenties.
Bought some Wahl clippers from Argos in the early 90s. Not paid for a haircut since. They're still going strong and nowadays I just shave grade 1 all over. Embrace the baldness I say.

I'm 35. My hair has receded a little at the temples, buy I kind of like it. It adds to my dignity, makes me look a little like a black and white American movie star.
It did mean adjusting my look though. I used spike it up at the front, but I went with a side parting when I noticed it at age 29. Currently sporting a very slight mullet and just sweep it backwards.
I hear that you take after your mothers side of the family with regards to hair, and this is the hairline my grandad had when he died, so I'm pretty confident.
It won't happen, but if it does, I'd go with a Thoros of Myr style top-knot, or if I ended up with q horseshoe style hairline, I'd grow it long and tie it at the back like a wise Japanese sensei.

Didn't work for me, my Grandad died at 70 with more or less a full head of hair. I sort of hope genetics spite you in the same way because I am terribly bitter about losing mine, being a metal head with NO HEADBANGING PASS

I do pay for a haircut sometimes even though I'm on my 4th set of clippers, the Turkish barbers get the flames out to kill all your ear hair.

I don't even know what happens except 'YANK' and then a dude is trying not to cry as he gets cleaned up and goes to pay. Seems cool.

They pull nose hair out? That can lead to some quite painful lumps in your nose.

I assume so, there's often some dude with 2 or 3 skewers sticking out of each nostril which are then yanked out before the crying. Unless they're after his brain I can't speculate further

Ive had this weird, single coarse hair on my right earlobe for 15 years. It resists all attempts to pluck it and gets more belligerent with every attempt. I like to think it's some kind of reincarnation of a vietnam war casualty

38. So far a full head of hair. Mum's dad was bald from 20ish. Dad's side full head of hair. So I don't buy the mother's side thing.
Looking at pictures from my 20s, I have ever so slightly less hair on the temples, but I consider it a mature hairline.
