Poached eggs are dead good, but soft-boiled is less of a faff and still gives you runny yolk goodness. I suppose all you poseurs only eat wild puffin eggs cooked 60/60. I actually find poached eggs a lot easier to make and eat than soft boiled

Coffee. Bran flakes.
That second one should take some heat off Cubby.

I've never really sussed poached eggs (assuming we're talking about the plopping them in the swirling hot water technique) I'll often have them if I see them on a menu as I do like eggs cooked that way, I can cook an egg any other way to perfection but poaching eludes me thus far.

Yeah, I've tried it twice and fucked it up each time. Likewise I'll often have them if they're on a menu (absolutely love eggs Benedict/Florentine) I should really just suck it up and learn how to do them

My poached eggs never really look professional, but they taste bloody amazing. The secret is NO VINEGAR!!!!! (why would anyone do that to an egg?) and to put them in to very gently simmering shallow water. Use a small pan so they don't spread around too far then just leave them until the top of the yolks start to firm up, they will still be runny in the middle.
No faffing with peeling the shell off, you can start the toast just before the eggs and you're good to go.

It's always a faff compared to just boiling them though. Although I want to know Razz's technique. Anyway, eggs Montreal is one of my favourite breakfasts, and as I'm WFH on Monday I may head out for some first thing.

Lizard I use Terryfarinos method above. But with a spalsh of Vinegar, makes the whites a little firmer. But whatever your preference.

Nah, it definitely works on a burger. Had one yesterday with sliced cheddar and it's just not the same.
Get that shit right out of anything else, though.

I much prefer the proper sliced cheese on a burger. Processed cheese is minging.

I can't get my head around anything for breakfast that isn't cereal, pastries, toast or a fry up or constituent parts thereof. Even the continental breakfast with ham and cheese confuses me.

When I was on holiday in Mexico, breakfast everyday was tacos(all different varieties of meat and fish). I thought it would be weird at first but when I came home I missed waking up with fresh tacos covered in hot sauce and guacamole.

I used to smother a slice of processed cheese in peanut butter, roll it up and Bobs your uncle. Cram it in the gob. Lovely.
Not had it for years though. I do prefer thin slice of a medium white cheddar in a burger, nothing too strong and nothing blue or it makes me sick.
This morning I ate a bowl of cereal in about 30 seconds as I was running late and hours later I'm still burping it up. I'll never learn.

I had a spicy tuna onigiri, a change from my staple of muesli with yoghurt, chia seeds, flax seeds, walnuts, blueberries and other fruit , can be pears, mango, peaches , nectarines etc. depending on time if the year.
