Thank you all. It never gets easier. Lost my other cat two years ago so now there's just me and Jasper who's also 17. I'm sure he's confused wondering where she is at minute

Yeah. Vet said she had slept most of the afternoon and will probably stay a bit out of it till tomorrow.
Only allowed walks around the garden and then her post op check up on Monday.
Pretty funny watching her as you can see the drugs are starting to wear off a bit.
Just happy she's finally been able to have the op.

Unless your lab has an unusual predatory drive, larger dogs are usually better with smaller pets than smaller ones.

Nah she just wouldn't be impressed. It feels like she's simply tolerating the little one half the time.
But at the same time she's pretty protective of her when it walking.

We had three or four of our neighbour's cats choose to come and live with us when I was growing up, despite my mum trying to shoo them away (I may have encouraged them with food and cuddles). The neighbour didn't seem to mind, he had TONS of other animals, including foxes, which was probably why the cats came to us in the first place.
