The shorthaired cat looks like her ledge is about to break off the wall. Cute pets! He’s a beast, 6kg of meat, and that shelf isn’t fixed in too well! Doesn’t seem like it’s going to fall out though. The fluffy one is about 1.5kg, basically a skeleton wearing a yeti suit. Kernow’s a Shiba so he’s going to be super cute even when he grows up.

We have 2 huskies that the Mrs insists are indoor dogs. The fur is fucking everywhere, always, regardless of how much you vacuum and the constant rain doesn't bloody help.

When we lived on a farm one of my previous cats was a right killer. Mice voles rabbits birds. Often left us bits of animals (rabbit heads were the worst!) only animal she would never eat was moles, apparently they taste bad. She would also leave spleens lying around all the time! I've got to ask, how did you know it was a spleen? I've no idea what one looks like, not even my own, never mind some random ex fluffy creature. Local Norfolk lore from a 70 year old deaf hunchback (I kid you not!) so may not be entirely anatomically accurate 😉

I have definitely cleared up a lot of those. I assumed it was just congealed blood.

You know that moment when you wish you could go back in time and undo saying something? I've just had that. Ewww....

Anyway, back to cats. One of mine is 9kg. I call it a fat fucker. It tells me its "big boned" on account of being more than a lot Maine Coon. I point to its just over 8kg brother and suggest that its maybe not as genetic as the fat twat is making out and he just mumbles something offensive around a mouthfull of biscuits.

Zomoniac Just out of interest, how come you called it Cornwall? Is that where the breeders were?

Had similar with a pet rabbit a few years back. I couldn't understand why my 5.1 system wasn't working until the phone also stopped working. Tracing cables found there was less cable to trace than there should have been. I was not a happy...er...bunny.

Gods dammit! First the magsafe cable, now the 7 pin cable for the pedals to the electric piano. We were close to having rabbit stew for dinner, then I thought I could go and by some terminal blocks and try and fix it.
Which I did. So damn satisfying to be able to fix a thing.
Next up, some sort of indoor pen for the killer rabbit.

Perhaps it'll chew through a mains cable next ....

I would really like an adoption greyhound but I'm a bit concerned about the days I go into work and if I go out for a night out.
I think if I can go for a long walk in the mornings they're pretty fond of sleeping for most of the day.
Anyone had/have a greyhound?

I think if I can go for a long walk in the mornings they're pretty fond of sleeping for most of the day. Anyone had/have a greyhound? My neighbours did. Notoriously lazy so, as you say, they will sleep all day and all night. One of the few breeds that breeders recommend if you live in a smallish flat and have no garden. The only setback might be separation anxiety but you can train that out of them with technique and patience

I don't, but I know they are notoriously lazy. More ironic than anything Alanis sung about. One of my cats is ill. He vommed everywhere last week and was off his food for a few days. Back eating and drinking, but definitely not himself. Very grumpy, and unsocial. If it continues, I'll have to take him to the vets.

One of our cats vomited on the bed the other day during the night, at least in the half light when I got up before anyone else it looked like vomit, it could possibly have been a little poo going by the shape and texture but between me and FG I avoided smelling it/examining it too closely and cleaned any evidence from the duvet cover before Mrs Mercury awoke as I know if I’d mentioned that there could have even been a very slight chance of it being poo I’d have been changing the duvet cover.

We keep ours in the kitchen at night, so it was only on the tiles. He's a moody fucker at the best of times but rare for him to keep away from everyone.

I think if I can go for a long walk in the mornings they're pretty fond of sleeping for most of the day. Anyone had/have a greyhound? We have a 4yo rescue Saluki x greyhound and he is extremely lazy 99% of the time - happiest snoozing in his bed or on the sofa. He does need a walk every day (not even a particularly long one tbh) and loves a blast off lead somewhere appropriate occasionally but otherwise he's happy doing nothing. He was (and still is to a lesser degree) very anxious and we have had to do a lot of training with him over the 3.5 years we've had him, but he's now perfectly happy being left for a few hours on his own. He is our first sighthound type dog and I don't think we'd get a different breed now, lovely character.

Yeah, my parents had a rescue dog that was mostly greyhound and friends have a whippet.
Both great dogs, short hair, tidy and lovely natures except for the deadly enemy squirrels!
